Our farm is looking to replace a Chevy 2500 series pickup that had a duramax diesel engine. We were wondering if anyone had any experience with the 4 cylinder diesel engines that the Colorado or Canyon has in them. We tend to do a lot of driving and not much towing, as we have other vehicles for towing stuff. We just need a parts go getter, typically 150 mile radius from our farm, and diesel, so we can drive in a field without worrying too much about catching everything on fire like a gas vehicle.

Your options are a gay man's Chevy (GMC) or a Chevy....simple choice...are you gay? :rofl They are both good however. My woman drives the 4 jug canyon...if you get to a hill you better get your paddle out. No other

Well, we did want something that will start and run, unlike the fix or repair daily ones. Always hated dodge and ram too.

STAY AWAY FROM THE MIDSIZE CHEVY TRUCKS!
The colorado and its gmc counterpart are some of the biggest pieces of crap on the road today, and i say that as a die hard chevy guy.
Its normal to replace the torque converter before 75k miles due to bad quality welds causing leaks. Also all these 6 speeds like to chew through converter lockup clutches with any sort of towing aswell.
Try to find yourself an old chevy S10 with the 4.3 v6 or an old ford ranger. New cars/trucks are DESIGNED to fail.

I'm a big fan Of the newer Colorados. I own a 98 Ram that has been a major POS. Work truck is a Colorado but I dont have to pay to repair it....

Aren't they just a rebadged D-MAX anyway?
