Title: No Longer Works on Oculus Rift S
Post by: Dadawada on December 29, 2021, 09:59:35 AM
I have an Oculus Rift S being powered by an Alienware gaming laptop with i7 and NVIDIA RTX graphics. I've successfully played the game before with no issues. I upgraded my gaming drive with and SSD and reinstalled the game and how it won't load.

I get the "Loading" screen and hear the sounds but never loads on the Oculus. When I look on my computer screen I can see it has loaded into the intro screen and is awaiting selection. When I look at the graphics card options it only shows the Intel graphics card in the list and not my RTX. Every other Oculus game operates as normal.

Ideas?

Think it's system, display, graphics, programs or something like that. It will let you switch the video card the app uses. That should fix the problem

If you're running with the original SSD and the new one installed, dual boot back into the original to confirm it's your settings, which it probably is. Then take screen shots and work back and forth between the two until you find the pieces that get it working again.

Hazmatt probably nailed it anyway.
