Are there any other pics of it out there?  The name got cropped it appears.   Almost looks like they used chalk.

Taking a rough guess I would say the name is “KATY JO” or “PATTY JO” you can just see the tip of a capitol T next to the letter Y. Since it’s  drawn in chalk it may have been done just for that photo. The name maybe the wrong approach to find the answer. I will dig about see what I can find.

Yeah or "MY JO" or "MARY JO" as well.  Curious to see what it is.

Its that little bit there at the tip of the arrow makes me think it has to be the letter T.

There are no photos out there showing that 38 complete.  I got the photo from Earl Miller, the pilot in the photo.  I wish I had more info on it, but that's what I know of.  The Group historian has no other images of the 38 either.
