I'm having the most arduous time trying to make an ordinary avi, mp4, mov, whatever file out of an ahf file. For a ten minute ah film I get 2GBs of 3-fps gobbledegook.
Has anyone found a decent solution or configuration?

I make my films by recording my screen in OBS. Film viewer on one screen, full screen view on the other, OBS record hotkey.

That's top-drawer. Thanks awfully old chap :salute

Why do only some of the guages work in your own aircraft in the ahf films btw. That seems a bit unhelpful. Maybe the data like G can't be recorded in an ahf?

That I am not sure of...I also noticed that if you skip around or reset it messes with your ammo counter and doesn't work properly unless you close the viewer and re-open it.

It's a shame but it seems clear there won't be further development.
Many things for your help. The video looks graphically better than it does in the film viewer! :rock

No problem - also too, if you're doing it for 'show':
I typically don't fly with reflections/shadows/etc on because I find it to be distracting, but you can turn them on in the game and then once you fire up the film viewer it turns all that stuff on even in films not recorded with those settings on.

Didn't know that either, great trick!

Because that is all the information that is captured by the AH film recorder.
