Most people curse the habit, but my cousin Jamie embraced it fully. When asked how he felt about his two pack a day addiction, he'd smile and respond: 'cigarettes are my life...' sometimes while expelling smoke from all three holes in his face.
Jamie finally lost his battle last week.
He was coming out of a 7-11 when a drunk driver hopped the curb and hit him. Died instantly. And what was Jamie buying at 7-11, you might ask?
You guessed it. Condoms for his son.

I think there must be(?) a joke in there somewhere but I'm just not seeing it.
Quit smoking 40+ years ago. Maybe once a year, or two, I think one might be nice. But of course I learned better long before I actually quit.
Sorry about your cousin. We all get to make choices.
