Is NOT represented vie the radicals who most likely carried off this attack. I have a heart full of hate for those that SUPPORT and CELEBRATE this attack but not for those in the wings who can do nothing but wonder what has gone wrong with some in thier faith.
Lets see no general Arab bashing as America has many here who love this nation as much as the rest of us do... DONT FORGET THE JAPANESE AMERICANS IN WW2....

And so, how do you tell them apart?
-
Dont know, 1776, but maybe to kill all the people with that skin or that religion, is'nt the best option (at least we all think that of Hitler's ideas).
:(
-
Sorry batdog.
Nadda gonna happen.
Like 1776 says, how do you tell them apart?
It's essential we secure our nation. If this means keeping an eye on every arab american then so be it.
They are radical loons who CAN BE STEREOTYPED.
I am not interested in hearing anything about discrimination, stereotyping, open arms roadkill.
Your neighbour, who is an islamiz arab can be a key ingredient in the next attack.
I am certain this catastrophe will open many eyes.
-
Dont know 1776... but this is a free nation not a police state. I wish there was an easy answer but all you can do is be on guard. Organisations will simply have to beware of the potential for terrorist strikes.

I'm going to point out that these indivuduals who carried this out where most likely NOT US Citizens. Odds are they where here vie passport or smuggled in etc.
I want to let pep's KNOW I am not some sort of liberal... but we where given greymatter for a reason so lets use it. The indiv's where recruited and trained abroad no doubt.
If not they will be much easier found out in our nation regardless and can be dealt with.
I'm hoping we find out who did this and give payback on the level of all out war.

Islamic religion is at its core pacifist, and generally looks at the extremists similarly to how we would look at christian abortion clinic bombers, for example.
Surely you guys don't want to eradicate all southern baptists?
An IRA bomb means all catholics are radical loons in need of extermination?
Protestants terrorizing children in Ireland means we need to kill them too I guess.
Of course, a lot of the anarchy world trade riots are led by athiests, so those have to go as well.
----------------
What is needed is to find the leaders, who are not suicidal and instead are quite cowardly hidden safely away as they send their followers to kill themselves. I'm all for cutting it off at its head, quite violently, and anyone who gets in the way of that. If it is indeed led by Ben Laden as is the most plausible at this point, then I'm all for going in and getting him. If the Taliban refuses to allow it, then I pity them, I would consider it cooperation in an act of war.

Well said Fatty!! <salute>

Wise, Fatty, wise words.
Control the anger, this are moments when we need to be controlled, to be more efficient in the pursuit of the real individual guilty, otherwise we will be just like them.
:(
-
Agreed Fatty, very well said. It is stupid to lump ALL Arabs or ALL Islamic people in a stereotype as suicidal bombers. This simply isn't the case. I suspect the vast majority are horrified by the attack, just as many other people around the world are.
To be sure, there are SOME arabs and SOME Muslims that ARE happy about this attack, but I'd say they are a very tiny fraction of the population. ANY civilized person would be horrified by this attack, no matter what color, religion, etc. he or she happens to be.
-
Most of the Arabs are ordinary people.
I am not saying all americans should be killed because they are all terrorist. I mean, what happened in Oklahoma, that was an terrorist act conducted by american.
If you respect christian values, now is the time to use them.
-
I have Arabic and Islamic friends in the US who are every bit as American as you or I.

Damn folks. It hurts, but don't blame this one on Islam. Even if the folks who did this considered themselves Muslim, that doesn't mean there's something wrong with Islam. The screaming majority of Muslims in the world, Arabs and non-Arabs, are shocked and offended at this abomination to God. Period.
-
I always suspected you were an ignorant bastard Fscott, your comments today remove all doubt.
-
Lets not bash all Arabs, please remember our countries fought for Kuwait just over 10 years ago. I have relatives in Saudi Arabia and I would hate to think that they're at risk from people grouping evil and innocent together.
As for Ireland, hatred has been bred between Protestants and Catholics there for decades. Lets not that happen here between Christians and other religions.

DamniT!!!!! now I have to agree with Fatty!!
someone's gonna pay! :)
-
As Fatty says, this is not Islam or Arabia against U.S.
This is fanatism and violence vs. Tolerance and Freedom. Now this can be stereotyped. And chased. And hunted down. And punished to its ultimate limit.
Let's chase down fanatism. Wherever it lies. Its supporters, its shelters...

The ten's of thousands that died today can no longer practice tolerance!! They have been denied by the very people they would tolerate.
-
I had an instructor in college who grew up in a Japanese internment camp in the US. He grew up there because of people who jumped to conclusions about Americans of his desent.

There were undoubtably muslims there too 1776, or were they somehow in on it?
You and I are allowed to walk the streets today, despite the actions of Timothy McVeigh, how is that any different? The numbers, of course, but really, how can you tell me from Timothy McVeigh?
-
My best friend is Lebanese. He's a very good guys and someone I have always been able to count on. He would be one of the first to go in and kill the F@#@'s that did this. Witch hunts are bad, period.
We have this to blame on the lax security in our country and for NOT punishing these guys like Ben Laden for what they have in the past. If you attack us in any form or fashion be it terrorism, and if you support these amazinhunks then you have just painted a very large target for the might of the American mititary and covert ops. No prisoners taken and none given. We have the intelligence and the might to take these guys out. Up until now we didnt have the will. This will be punished. I dont think it will be allowed to happen again as we will be cutting the heads off of these types of Terrorist groups from now on. We must borrow from the Isrealies in their will to destroy those that wish them harm before they are allowed to.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
LLB OUT!!!!!!!!!

McCain was a missed oportunity WTg America
:(

Remember how quickly we were to assume it was some middle east nutbar who was reponsible for the Oklahoma bombing.

Fatty, today Americans died. Americans,a unique culture that welcomes all. Ten of thousands Americans died today. Americans who had the opportunity of the ages to excel beyond anything in history in whatever endover. Wasted Americans, lives cut short by whoever for forever. Revenge and death to those guilty of this act of war, and, yes we are at war!!
I repeat, we are at WAR!!! No quarter is to be given!!!
Take the political correctness and closet it as it is for discussion in times of peace, not in times of WAR!! Unity is our strength.
Justice is our cause. The sword is our tool.
-
We are at War, true... but a different kind of war.
A war against terrorism is a tough one.
We can't just go bomb some country until it glows... even though, at the time, it's what you might want to do.
We must wake up and become vigilant. We must stay informed and quit running around with our heads in the sand thinking we can just outpower our enemies.
Frenchie made a good point. Sometimes brute force is not the proper response... at least not one that truly has the desired outcome.
There is defianately retribution due. Let's help make sure it's accurate and deserved. When we find the people responsible, then justice should be terrible and swift.
-
Brute force that ends in death and distruction is the only language terriorism understands. I say we speak loud. Any nation that harbors terrorist is a nation that has to pay 10 fold, period!!
We are not dealing with people who will go away if we make nice with them. They only understand death. Death to them in the distruction of Americans and American property is what they want. I say expend property in the form of rockets and bombs to fullfill their wish!!
-
make a list of every suspected terrorist hideout/facility on the planet...then raze the bastards to the ground...

"How do you tell em apart"
[/b]
It disturbs me when general stereotypes are used. There's no reason to pick this or that group or put a name on them other than to give a "face" to the hatred. It doesn't matter, what does matter is to determine the actual suppliers, backers, and leaders of the people who hijacked and planned this atrosity.
IMHO, there's no need for hatred, just a cool headed calm response with precise objectives, "KISS" it. Take the time for them to relax, then kill em one by one or en mass if the opportunity arises. Please understand though, it will be done.
What does sadden me though, is that the men who will be doing this service will be placing their lives in harm's way and may not return to their families. May God protect them <S>
-
S!
Batdog and Fatty, you have spoken wisely. Now is not the time to take revenge on the innocent. The U.S. should act in the spirit of justice and punish only those responsible.
FScott, you are a fool and a racist. What you are calling for will only make more likely the possibility of further acts of terrorism.

Hello everyone,
I am Muslim and proud one too. I am so sad about what happen today. I am American Citizen by Oath. I didnt like what happen today neither Do I like what happens abroad when inacent people died. Some of the guys have talk wisely and with openminded. In our Religion this is not holy or its forbedin. Lets all pray for those who died today. Btw fatty there are a lot of Muslims right under Twin Towers working some I know who has coffee n donut shop. Thank God noen my family were in there but I still think its sad those who died Muslim or none.
Bash :(

Agree. Don't tar all Muslims with the same brush.
Quote:
"If you respect christian values, now is the time to use them."
Dont use the term "christian values" if you don't subscribe to them yourself. And don't lecture me or other Christians on when, where, why, or how i "use" them.
Comprende??

Don't worry Bash, most chemically balanced people know the difference.
It isn't looks that define a people, it's how they behave... and the sub-human Taliban that perpetrated this grave mistake are a perfect example of how differently people can behave who come from the same culture.
I suspect that tommorrow after everyone gets some sleep and their mind resets to a more normal mode that a better resolve than "kill 'em all" (name of a Metallica CD BTW) will be established.
This is only the beginning.

Well said Batdog, Fatty and Bashwolf. <S>
Let us be angry at those responsible, but let us wisely keep our anger from spilling over to innocents.
-
Bashwolf,
Sorry to hear you were attacked by a few ignorants today. I don't condone those actions and hope you do not have to put up with any more of it.
Hopefully we'll find who did this atrocious act and put them to justice. Whether it's an Islamic, American or even a family member of mine, justice will be served and pity on anyone who interferes with it.

1776 don't you notice you're talking yourselfe into the same fanatic hatred that drove the people behind this ?
step back, think about what Fatty said, and what your religion (i suspect you're religious) tels you .. and what you have been raised to be.

There has been a Gallop poll. 80% of the US population will support the use of force, but only AFTER an investigation to find the guys responsible.
We're not stupid. We're not just going to run around the Mideast shooting anything we want. We don't even know who did it at this point. It might not even be Arabs, though my first guess would say it is. In fact my belief is that would only make it 100 times worse. We have somebody angry at us, lets NOT make it everybody.
I can only assume the rest of the world is nervous right now too, because when American is pissed...and we haven't been this pissed off since Pearl Harbor...everyone else can expect nothing but bad news. Even if it means that the world's economy is going to go into a bad slump and your not going to have alot of money for the next few years (Japan and the United States are 40% of the ENTIRE world's market). The Stock Exchanges around the world are already taking a big bellybutton nose dive right now. Gas prices are skyrocketing (God, I hope that's only a temporary knee-jerk reaction).
This whole thing is just bad.
Hans.

Each and everyone of us will lose a little freedom after yesterday's events. Travel within the US is going to be restricted. The current economic situation will worsen and the recovery will be delayed. In some form or another we are all affected, each and everyone of us. What I find dishearting is that there is still a market for rose colored glasses :(
