In either standard or virtual mode the game will terminate if you try to switch to a gun position in a bomber directly from an external view.
1: get in bomber.
2: hit F3 for external view
3: Press 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 and POOF. Game ends and you are at desktop.
Kinda a really irritating bug.
