Title: Learning the D9

I get killed daily by an unnamed Bishop 190 driver that anyone that spends any time  in the main knows.. Great shot and handles the D9 better than anyone I've come across. His energy management in that plane is what I want to learn. So a film where he actually DIDN'T kill me where I could see the speeds he had in our skirmish. Now that I have the speeds, I can go on from there.

Best day of my life was when I got him on the deck with me in a Spit 16 and I showed him what a real dogfight is like. He belly landed his shot up Dora and slid underneath the trees, where I proceeded to light up the trees and finish him off with great satisfaction.

Draining the forward tank first helps out a lot. The majority of the fuel in the Fw-190's is stored in the forward tank, so by draining it first the aircraft will move better.

Heya nopoop,

See you in the main often, downloaded your film and noticed you had a couple shot opportunities that you did not take but I don't believe that is why you posted here so I will just say the bish guy likes to come in higher than everyone else, almost always and if he notices he is not he will turn out and climb more, smart  ? <shrug>, a picker of pickers but will say you are right he maintains his E very well, and he doesn't miss often when given the shot, you will see he comes in high at speed and will dive underneath (his M.O. ) so as to try and drag you into a climb so he can come back down on you when you are slow and wobbly, you will see him run when his advantage is lost or he will be flying with a turny bird friend so if you engage him his turny buddy will try and zap you, very predictable in his style but he is good and it works for him.

I like to fly everything so if you see me and want to practice with 190s against each other or pair up for a few with give me a shout.

The 190D is for dweebs and noobs!

If you really want to learn now to E fight. Learn the P38s. They are the best for E training. Once you get them down. The 190D will be a piece of cake.
