We've been routinely getting together with the Dickweed Heavy Bomber Group in some form for the last several squad nights of theirs- usually some of us help with escort duty. Myself, I grab a set of 17's.
As far as our bomb group missions are concerned, we are slowly getting a regular squad night back together on Wednesday nights -9pm eastern.

Buuuuuuut, we're still flying with the skeleton crew we have left. If you're interested in hanging out, we still do our own strategic heavy bomb runs (short and long-haul) as well as coordinate with other squads/groups. We also play around with all the other toys in AH's box. You're welcome to hang out if this is your thing.

Door's open, sir. Vox 191 on the Bishop side of the fence. We do raids, but we're pretty relaxed about it. Some guys do prefer to fly escort or gun. It would be cool to increase our number of dedicated and practiced bombardiers, though. :salute

Thanks, Steely. I'm trying to keep it going in some form. TTflier has been the one officially in charge. It's been more difficult because I bounce back and forth between visiting my family in the States, and spending most of my time at my other home in the Philippines with my "adopted" family (girlfriend and her kids).
My mornings over there are spent working, and I'm barely able to get some AH time in.

Thanks, sir. We just had another great run last night at around 20.6K on the Bish/Knight front. One goal was to smash the coastal base, but were met with fierce fighter resistance at co-alt from the other side, as well as as their CV was in the mix fighting our fleet and taking potshots at us. Base destruction was not successful due to their solid defense of it, but two of us did manage to soften and ultimately sink their ship from our high perch.
Felt good knowing that there are still some patient players keeping this aspect of the game going. More are welcome.

Pretty much the same kind of post, but different day..
But, as always, the door is always open to bomber enthusiasts who have the patience to make this aspect of the game work. We do a mix of short runs and long haul heavy deep runs, mostly with B17's, but occasionally with others. We're very relaxed, but we try to implement a good sense of coordination and teamwork in our missions. Drop in on Bishop vox 191.. check us out.

Old thread, but I'm going to be coming back - missed this game!
Downloaded Flight Simulator 2024 last week, tried it a little and thought to myself "Wonder what Aces High is like these days?!?!"
Waiting on support to try to get my old account back <fingers crossed> since I have no idea what the login was and no longer have the old email I used to use.

numbers are usually around 100 prime time days more on Friday nights when fso is happening but alot of old timers still here

Finally got my hardware problem remedied. MSI gaming laptop needed a new screen. Long haul strat flights will resume shortly. :salute :airplane:

The door is always open, especially to more dedicated heavy bomber pilots. B17's are our main platform, but we've flown others - B24's & B29's, for example. Stop in and check us out. <S>

A little update on that, buddy. I've had passing thoughts about you & I doing missions together along with the gang. Sorely missed.
I've tried over the past two years or so to bring it back in some form with respect to having not been in charge for a long time, but it just ain't taking.
So, I've taken myself out. I intend on flying with the DHBG for awhile. 91st, if you remember, has flown B17's with them in the past - we called it "frame rate hell" - there were so many involved. I've already done several long-haul runs with DHBG and their escort group.
It remains to be seen whether I may decide to start another small BG of my own. I've already got a squad/group name in mind and hope to try again with having a little fun around a core specialty regarding targeted precision demolition with just a few others. :D :cool:
We will see. <S>
