I was at the Miramar air show on Saturday, and I heard a new term for a plane flying at ground level.
The announcers were describing how one plane was flying at "gopher scaring altitude". I'm going to adopt this as another way to describe times when I am cutting grass with my props.

In my experience of the game, a low alt call out can be anything from 50 to 5000ft 😄

We're not talking about lower-than-me altitude. We are talking about gophers diving for cover. Like this guy:

Sounds like me when I'm anti-vulching lol. I can be seen doing hangar runs as an evasive maneuver sometimes to shake a tail. Or just weaving through trees in hope one of the Yaks or Doras will lawn dart.
Yesterday though..... :noid
Upped a Spit 16 into a Rook vulch by Blue Thunder. Kept evading and climbing to fight them. By the time they started retreating, they had made at least a dozen passes on me for no damage, and I was at 22 thousand feet. :bolt:
I swear, those guys are the definition of alt monkeys.

Called Brewster level or any name, altitude make me dizzy :)... nothing like the adrenaline when fight tree level between a bunch of planes trying to kill each others.

Kept waiting for the i185 to displace the Brewster.

There's something magical about a Spit and a Corsair skimming the trees with flaps out.

Hedge hopping mentioned in several Luftwaffe pilot autobiographies.
