Does anyone know if things like Sony rumble packs can be assigned a force feedback function in AH on a separate channel to a control axis?

Does Windows see the Sony rumble pack or the controller containing it? If it does, then AH should recognize it too. Options>Controls>Force Feedback tells what to expect.

I don't know I didn't get one yet :rofl There's just a nice space for a motor in my custom joystick and was wondering if a dedicated stick-shaker might be an option. I thought someone was talking recently about a vibrating chair or something. Probably misread that or it was typed here by mistake instead of www.spankathonandallroundgene ralkink.com :old:

That's something entirely different, or at least could be. A tactile transducer is basically a speaker without a cone attached to the bottom of your chair, instead there's a stick that bangs the chair base. Obviously you'd need some sort of a filter to direct only the basses to that, and you'd most likely need an extra amp to feed the transducers as basses require quite a lot of power. But basically that's a subwoofer under your seat.

No I don't want a rumbly seat! I'd need a batch of NATO inflight sickbays. :rofl This week I drove a Toyota Prius for the first time. First car I ever get motion sickness in while actually driving it. Which is weird because it felt like I wasn't really driving anything at all :old:
Just gave me the idea that I could put a rumble-pack thingie on a separate channel. I'll look into it and report back.
You can't beat Haptic Feedback I think. It's pretty well required for certain genres of games.

I have a jet seat that has 8 little motors in it that gets effects right out of IL2 and DCS wth the software. Added one Buttkicker to my chair too. It's pretty cool insofar as immersion goes, especially in VR. Feel the engines, guns, stall buffet, gear operating, etc. I have the Buttkicker set to thump pretty good when I take hits. I know the seat pad has a FFB mode but haven't tried to use it with the AH FFB effects. Be cool if AH could be tied into the software.
