My husband Challenger had given up on this game when his friend Mike passed away. His favorite thing to do was protect Mike on missions. I don't have idea how to reach the squadron because Paul deleted his Facebook after Mike passed.
Please let them know he is gone. He died this morning. He asked me to tell you all that it was great fun flying with and against you.
He was the best man I have ever known. Paul feared nothing.
Just Jen.

Hmm. I hope I'm wrong with what I'm thinking.

I'm sorry for your loss. I always remember Challenger as a good solid player that put a lot of positivity into the community.
Challenger has a YouTube Channel .. I loved his CH controller set up videos and it works with most controllers. He also did a lot of videos on other games like DCS, Sniper Elite, The golf Club etc.

I remember him in-game well, one of the very few who would make proper setups to attack my bombers. My last encounter with him was while I was in a set of Lancs and him in a 190 (cannot remember which type though :(). Came in high 12:30 and got my lead, and if I remember correctly, my #2 as well. Always made things interesting.

The hardest part of getting older is smiling when you you try to explain to the younger generation how fleeting and temporary the life you are living actually is. You kids, when we say "Respect the life you have in front of you", hopefully will look back and understand what us :old:folks meant when we said don't squander your youth, even though we know you won't listen. We know you won't listen, we didn't. Our parents and grandparents wished we would listen, we didn't.
Challenger, my friend, rest in peace. I will miss your energy my friend. All I can do is wish the best for your family as they try desperately to accept their loss.
Kids, did you see the vid of that wonderfully restored B17 that in the blink of an eye ended the lives of those brave souls? Cool Flames, or Wow that was Awful!! That was not a game, or a youtube vid. That was real. That's how you go out, surprised, stunned, WTF, no idea what was happening or never expected that. Look, we know you kids laugh at the old guys saying farewell to old friends and think you are immortal, which dismisses the loss of some we cherish, but you WILL be here some years down the road. I hope you know how bad this hurts, as you truly don't right now, but IF you do, you will understand the sentiment. God Speed my friend Challenger.

Sorry for your loss.
I recall one of the Muppets (can't recall his name) used to host canyon fights in the duel arena. One of those days I met Challenger on the wrong side of his guns. He shot me down sortie after sortie. That's how I learned about Challenger.

Aces high loses another legend of the game. I check back in every so often, and it seems someone else has passed almost every time. I guess were all get older but it hurts to see this at any age. So sorry for your loss Jen. Many here are thinking about you and praying for you and your family. God bless.

With all of his attention to assembling and delivering authentic quality sound packs he has enhanced the experience of countless enthusiasts in Aces High. I for one, wish to thank Jen and the family for sharing him with us and to (sort of) borrow from movie soundtracks to fondly remember him:
“He was a complicated man….
….and no one understood better than his woman”
Shaft
“Every time a soundpack engine pings….
….a cartoon pilot gains his wings”
It’s a Wonderful Life
