1) Somehow I locked head-position settings so that I can't adjust them now.
How do I change that?
2) Is there a page on the different base layouts and bombing info?
I've hunted these and have not found much.
Thanks in advance

1) you can press "home" in each view and it will take you back to the default. You could also delete the .hps (head position settings) from the game folder and it will re d/l the defaults.
2) on the clipboard map,if you right click you'll get a pop out menu with various options, click on the "clipboard maps" and it will list various bases and the layouts. You can also save and print them out.
2a) As for using the bombsight mode, it's all about calibrating the drop to speed and being at that speed for the optimal accuracy.
2a1) As for objects and how much ordnance it takes to destroy them, again, on the clipboard map and options/arena set up/objects/objects settings and it will show you hardness as a percent of 1,000 lbs... for example the vehicle hangar (and all hangars actually) take 2.78k lbs of ord to destroy. Ammo, radar, barracks take 310lbs... etc.
Here's a website that explains bombing and stuff...and covers in detail what was mentioned above.

I have the defaults now. Prior to resetting win 10 I could adjust head- positions now they are stuck and wont move at all. Is this Win issue or is they are head-position lock?
Thanks

there is no lock. You use the arrows and the page up, page down keys to adjust the head position.

I was adjusting it just fine before my windows 10 reset. Obviously something is wrong with the reset.

Update: I deleted everything in the main AH folder and verified the game on Steam.
It renewed the missing files and Head-position keys are working now.
the Base maps. There is AA and (same colored marker) some say 88
What is the 88's?
-
AA are Anti aircraft guns and 88 are are 88 mm guns. These are all guns you must destroy on the field and town before you can try a capture.

Thanks
I thought it was something like that.
they are hard to hit

The 88's are the ones that fire the slower-moving projectile that explodes with the classic dark puff of smoke with the red/orange flame burst inside.

Ok. . Now if I can learn to dive bomb those or a tank
The Training area have a Green X to help you guide your bombs and rockets.
The offline Practice doesn't. Is there a setting to change that? I couldn't find one

dive bombing just takes practice and you'll eventually get the sight picture for releasing your bombs. You can practice offline or online, film to check how you missed your drops. or fly over and look for the bomb craters.

I had to wait until I had some time off to set this up. I now have a tutorial, with pretty pictures even, to show how to set up the computed gun sights. Hope this helps.
