Very cool. I wish I would have had an opportunity to talk to my buddies neighbor. He flew 109's. My friend talked to him a couple times. He was just some guy living next door in a small town in Eastern Washington of all places. I guess his family had moved here so he came. Funny to think of a WWII German pilot in the desert of Eastern Washington. Neat story thanks for posting it.
