Title: Cop question
Post by: MiloMorai on December 30, 2022, 04:54:52 PM
Why do so any American cops show up at a scene? A car chase could have dozens of cars involved in the chase.

Because there are at least a half dozen officers at any scene to make sure they watch each other and taping each and every move so that no one’s rights are violated. Why so much over watch, because the media has painted each and every one a white nationalist racist that can’t be trusted.

I sense you knew this already, but wanted to make some point that America has too much LE, when in fact these days half of are there to watch each other because of ‘equity’.

Meanwhile, LE morale is at it’s lowest point in modern America, recruiting is very difficult and candidate quality is very poor. Thanks MSM, you’ve truly made America safer

Pretty sad, but states like mine have benefited bigtime from states like IL.  We've signed on thousands of good, experienced cops from "those states" over the last couple of years.  Their loss is our gain, I guess.

Sorry but happy endings are when every turd in the running car dies and no innocent folks are harmed. Saves money and time.

They want enough people on site so they can overwhelm any opposition when the chase is resolved.  You may have several people pop out of the car with guns blazing.  You may have several people pop out of the car and run in different directions.  You may have someone jump or get thrown out of the moving car, and you need someone to stop and tend to the wounded.  (all of these things have happened)

If they have a helicopter available, they will often have the cars back off until it is time.

FUBAR. Or SNAFU. Or perhaps SNAFUBAR. Main goal is to take bad boys down and go home in one piece after shift.
