Quick update to tone down the markings as well as a few other minor tweaks to this one: https://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,389435.msg5174344.html#msg5174344
P-51B-7-NA "Glamorous Glen"
s/n 43-6764 (B6*Y)
Lt. Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager
357th Fighter Group, 363rd Fighter Squadron
February-March 1944
This P-51B, coded B6*Y, was flown by then-Lieutenant (later Brigadier General) Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager of the 357th FG, 363rd FS. Named "Glamorous Glen" for his fiance' (Glennis), Yeager flew this aircraft during his first months of combat in February and March of 1944, scoring one victory over an Me-109 before being downed on his eighth combat mission.
With the help of the French underground, Yeager evaded capture and returned to his unit in England. He resumed combat operations in August in a P-51C, ending his tour flying the P-51D. He totaled 11.5 victories, including five in one day, over 64 combat missions and would go on to be a famous test pilot, becoming the first person to break the sound barrier in 1947.

Nice improvement.

Nice improvement.
Thanks. Not a full redraw--even though it probably needs it. I figure this at least keeps it from looking like a clone of my last one. I'll probably fix a few more things but I won't bother with a screenshot unless it is fairly obvious... The upper picture was before I added a new exhaust stain layer, wing landing light, and the tiny gap between the exhaust manifolds and the cowling (all shown in the second screenshot).

Good job on the update Vraciu, a definite improvement.

Thanks, G. I think I'll lighten the Spec map a tad.
I've noticed the update page seems a bit goofy. Used to be able to see the files but now it lists a bunch of unavailable maps starting with the 109. I'll have to post a screenshot of the error. It has been acting that way for awhile now but not on every skin.

Looks good V

Very nice update, Vraciu.
That exhaust manifold gap is a subtle but nice detail. One of those things that make a big difference after you "see" it.

Thanks guys. I may clean it up a little more before the deadline. A lot of these skins need redrawn but you can do a lot even with minor tweaks based on what you've learned skinning other stuff.

Nice update!

Thank you, sir. :salute
