Aces High 3 - Unofficial Promo Video It's not all my work. Every clip used came from the work of someone in the AH community. I just compiled some into one.
Special thanks to the unknowing Rooks, where I recorded their horde attack on a base from the tower. It provided some great sound recording for the opening and ending shots.
The video has been updated with 3 different endings.

It goes right up to the edge, like 1000s of videos, including videos on HTC site. We're not asking to buy anything. If I removed the word Promo, it would be just another AH fan video, they all use mainstream music with vocals. A 4 min video will never make TV as is. I'm just a fan, I profit nothing.
Worst case, they remove it and its wasted work.

Fantastic !!
After the carrier shots another clip is great but the first seconds of it shows this shot. It has to be the lighting but it looks like it's from aces high one. Makes the graphics look poor.BTW the town flyby is fantastic.

Every clip I used was taken from what the poster claimed is AH3. This one is from "AcesHigh III - Beta Cinematic - AcesHigh Rebirth -US-" on youtube Starting at 00:55 mark. Look dude, it wasn't intentional and there was no malice intent. Then it was someone else. The fact I'm taking my time to try to help the numbers,... and I get this,.. I won't budge a finger to do one more thing for this game,.. it's not appreciated.
I would have asked had I known who it was,.. I haven't been around for 14 yrs so I don't know what every single person did., there is nothing else to say. At the top of the post I stated thanks for everyone's hard work. I'm a grown adult man, I just don't need it. Let the numbers flounder. But I credit them, so people can hear it, go search it and buy it for themselves, and any ads moneys on my films go to the music label in a work around. I do not profit monetarily from the music I choose to use on YouTube.

I've been helping games succeed for 35 yrs. Game Staff, Tech Support,.. programming,... First all through AW and years in AH, the Logo is mine, the sounds are mine......I would think someone would feel honored that I saw such great work,. and yes I did give thanks, I just don't know who is who. Your approach "take it down right now" left me no recourse. I'm glad you love to here yourself talk,... but that don't swim with me. SORRY for not asking, I had no idea who to ask. Well...
At one time I had eight P47 skins in game. I spent HUNDREDS of hours creating them. And this comunity NEVER thanked me on the boards each time they flew one.

Dolby is of course due credit and the right of refusal. I’m sure if you just talked to him when he pointed that out he would have worked with you.
On a side note, I’ve long held that this “community” doesn’t really want the new player base it complains the game as is cannot attract.

He does, and I did. He flamed me up in the first post,... it's not like he gave me any time or an open gate. I don't bow to flamers. This is what the community has become? I would have had the same issue with Chalenger's sounds, which everyone pushed me to do. I was very particular to attempt to get permission, everyone saw that, I don't steal" someones else work intentionally. It was a good hearted thing with good intentions. Evidently, it's not worth my time to help. I'm not into the AOL Chat concept. Never was, never will be. He just kept carrying on with a smart mouth. In the past I LITERALLY spent more time helping others in the games, and producing progress, then I did flying. That's my attraction. Helping a game move along. This is the first time in 35 years someone stood up and beat me down for helping,... never has this happened before. So be it. His approach to a mistake was bit over the top for my blood. DUDE, people see ghost that are not there because they CHOOSE to see ghost that are not there. You read the situation backwards. How YOU see it is NOT how it happened. Had you not put the "remove it right now" comment, that told be you weren't going to give permission. Had i known WHO it belonged to I would have, just as I was trying to get consent from Chelenger's wife. I am ALL about copyrights, and everyone KNOWS that. You just saw something and went into instant flame. There was not a nice thing to respond to. OK, i had to let the dust settle. Stepping back in this thread was like putting my feet in my toilet.
I'm not sure it's worth the trouble, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Here's how I COULD deal with this.
1) Either Dolby grants us permission to use his great clips, and I would put ALL contributors names in visible credits OR 2) I'm going to defeat this situation, let people send me their videos to make a new one, and I'm going to beat other games disgruntled players to death with it.
It took me two weeks of work to go through and pick all the clips and arrange them exactly to the music. if you watched the video over, it's actually telling a short story of the game. It's not just clips piled into the music.
If the option is 2),... If you'd like to send me videos there's 2 hooks. 1) At least one transfer of files needs to contain permission to use the files, in exchange I will put your name in credits on the last sequence, same as I offer Dolby. No one is special. Those whos files are used the most goes on top.
2) I don't have the time to figure out how people do this cinematic thing and do the video too. But, if no one else can I will try.
Here's how I pick what to use #1 it must be crystal clear, no jitters, doesn't matter how cool the scene is, if is not clear I won't use it. #2 No icons, I think someone said it can be done in viewing AH films, I'm so far out of the loop these days having been gone so long. #3 it must look realistic, not exterior views jerking the plane around, work it like your a camera shot following.
Pick or make the coolest shots you can and send those to me. You saw what kind of shots I'm looking for, OR better. Scenarios and vehicle shots would be great too.
Those who want to send files, as long as they are not huge, zip them up and upload them to a server or I'll give you my email. I won't put any files in unless I have written permission. That's pretty easy since that's the only way we communicate. I'm not going to have the rug tanked out from under me again.
As far as Edger Winter copyrights, we're in the same biz, I've worked with him before. I can contact management and make my case to use his song, the others are copyright free. I don't know if anyone noticed, but just by chance, the video matched the music exactly.
If no one is up to it that's fine too. I have other hobbies.

The Video was live for, near as makes no difference, 16 hours with no mention of where any the footage came from or who made it. Despite there being more than sufficient time to acquire permission for use of the footage, none was sort.
To quote one of those creators "All he had to do was link to the channels he borrowed footage from"

I don't have a side in this. I will say that when you use parts of a video and give credit, it has the tendency to drive folks to that originating site. Thus creating more views. Some on YouTube end up with enough views to start making money. It usually grows in small steps and any and all views help.
While putting together videos to create excitement about the game is a fine idea, it sure would not hurt to list where the videos used came from. That would allow folks to find more like videos.
As for all the arguing, make your point and let's get past this. We all want this game to survive.

Talking of obsessions, I've addressed the music issue already, would you please exercise your ability to Read and stop clinging to this what-about-ism before you go blue in the face. The people who are the pilots are credited in the video description for the Beta Cinematic, all you have to do is read. GMAN and MrRee/Deadstick, I credit these people because it's the only film I've made where people have been part of a semi-scripted film shoot and death scene for my film. They are credited in the video description so that they have the option whether or not they wanted anonymity.. One of my earlier films credit a player with "#######" because he didn't what to be identified. Should he change his mindf I cannot change the film credits, but I can change the video description. 99% of my films are directly from the Main Arena, I stopped and don't "credit" these MA pilots, because it looks like a chest thump for shooting them down. And in general, that is not what my films are about, my films are a celebration of AcesHigh.
What does "my crew" mean.. I don't have a crew, is it your crew, who are they?
If I used the copyright option on your vids you wouldn't currently have a channel, 3 strikes is all you get. By speaking to you directly you keep your channel to try again.. You made it about me, I have been trying to get you to understand that this is about asking permission.

Animl clearly is not a man to go into any agreement with. So I say to all my fellow creators of integrity;
