Sorry for the sad news gentlemen but I just found out by one of my new wingman TERN that Sfox has passed away. COVID was the cause. Me and Tern recently started winging and I had no clue he and Sfox were friends for 20+ years. Here is a link of Sfox obituary. RIP Sfox.  :salute

I was a member of SFox's squadron for a few years and followed it's member over to the LCA. Was a wonderful person to fly with. Always came in clutch when taking a base. I miss that time and miss him. One of the best F4U pilots to ever play the game :salute

Yes, sad news indeed. Flew in his squad for year or so until he was banned, renamed the squad HiTechs Redheaded Stepchildren, later to merge with the LCAs. Think there's still an old FB page. He was a good guy and great stick.  :salute

Dang.  I was in his squadron for a good bit (until he left the game--taking a few guys with him--and we disbanded).   I really enjoyed flying with him.  He was a great Hog driver and I learned a lot from his patient lessons, but mostly we just had a LOT of fun.  He was a genuinely nice guy.    I'm saddened to hear this.

I am wondering the same thing.

Is sfox the same as SilverFox (or AH handle "SlvrFox")?  SlvrFox was involved in scenarios way back when, leading one of the fighter groups in Rangoon 2004, designing the scenario patch for Coral Sea 2005, etc.

WOW COVID is not just a virus its a nightmare from hell. I flew quite a few runs with him and also would do alot of work in the DA. Sad news to see this on the BBS. :salute
