So on a whim, I decided to see if Aces High was still kicking... and I'm happy to see that it definitely is! I forgot my old email for my original Octavius account, so I made an alt.
After perusing the ye olde forums for a bit, I'm glad to see some familiar names after over 20 years. I'm so glad to see Greebo is still making quality skins, for example. :)
Anyways, just thought I'd wave and say hi. I wonder who else is still kicking around after all these years?
Dale and co, I'm so glad this game is still going strong. Thank you for all the memories from 2000 and on, and I wish you all many more years of success. :)

I remember dinking around in my P-40E and schooling folks in their late war, easy mode hot rods. So yes, the memories are indelible. :)
Creating and hosting special events, making skins, dominating furballs, buzzing and killing folks with the rear 20mm's in my Ar234... great times :)

I quit flyin in 09-ish for personal life reasons,... just returned in the last 6 mos,...it's still a blast, when I have time to fly. From what Eagler and many others say, VR is incredible life changer.

People aren't misleading you when they say VR is a game-changer. I wish all former pilots could try it before they are done. Its really something to be inside the cockpit, after all the years of looking at it on a screen in front of you.

Going good, actually in west central WI. Got a family now, a little boy and girl.. grew up a bit since the last time I've seen you. I started playing this at the age of 13 or 14 when you were around. Now I'm 36 and getting worse every time I log in. :D
Go Packers! Hope you make it back in here sometime soon. The game desperately needs guys like you back in the sky.

aww, little Lazerrs running around in their mini P-38s. Congrats, man!
edit: And I completely understand :) I was only 18 when I went to the Indianapolis convention back in 2003. Everyone there thought I was older. Still won the 1v1 tournament ;) My squadmate who I split a room with asked me to bring some weed. It was a good time.

I bought these Red Wings at the mill store outside of the Mead paper mill in Chillicothe Ohio in 1986, after stepping in a puddle of black liquor and ruining the boots I had flown there with. Every 8 or ten years they get new soles.

That sounds familiar...still have my hat from the 2002 con...which will forever remind me of hauling that 21" CRT into the hotel...

Thought about shooting something down after so long away, downloaded AH, it crashes instantly on startup. Doesn't like something...
Looks like not much has changed in a while, though, so maybe it's my computer that isn't quite the same anymore.

So, there must be something in the water or air. I just downloaded AH. Haven’t logged in yet, busy working (new career as an RN in an ER at night). I have been feeling the itch, looking forward to seeing if I can run it on a laptop I was gifted. I did find an old Logitech twisty stick. If it works, may have to dust off the old F6F and take it for a spin.

If you play between 3pm and midnight CST, I highly recommend it. Still can find fun during those times.
