Hey All,
As a recording musician, I create and release songs weekly. I don't tend to bore you with them though.
This one though I thought you might be interested in. I am highly involved in A.I. both in my tech day job and as a recording musician. I created what I believe was the very first A.I. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin). I created James Hetfield (Metallica) and Bob Marley first to really learn the process. Plant took me about 4 weeks. It's based on all the early hi-rez vocal tracks available of him from 1968-72, i.e. at his vocal prime.
I wrote and performed all the music (it's just a simple 4 chord tune though). Please let me know what you think!

Thank you,

Ever try a Shure 91 beta & 52 beta combo in that kick drum?
My fav mic combo for kicks. Origonal 91 was best if you can find it.

Shure 91 beta & 52 beta combo
Cool combo. Thanks for the suggestion. :salute
I've been using a Miktek PM11 on the kick.
I also take the root note of the key and make a sub-kick 2 octaves down for depth. :rock

Not sure of all the technical and AI stuff you speak of that went into it, but I did enjoy the song. Seems like a fun song to drive to. I was able to listen to the whole thing, so that's normally a thumbs up for me. :aok

The number of sounds one can get from the combo is almost infinate. Dryness from the 91, drum resonance (wet) from the 52. Basically, no matter the band, i can get what tvey are looking for in seconds. :)

I hope you're better at that than you are your grammar.

His grammar was hot, and nice to talk to, as well. Could have been in the Barbie movie.

Just fyi. You have a good mic. I found nothing “ wrong” with your sound.
I used to play with my kick drum head off too. Until I became an engineer. A head with a 6” port hole is what makes my combo work best. The 91 goes inside on a pillow, the 52 goes 50% in the port hole to catch the pressure breathing out the hole. This combo can easily produce a thump that feels like someone beating your chest.
Not trying to talk ya into anything. Just passing on what >I< use. It made a lit of drummers very happy. Yhey are not expensive mics.
If you play a lot of different music, requiring different kick sounds, the variations may come in handy.
You do a good job. I hope I didn’t offend.

Bonzo didn't need a port.

Bonzo didn't need a port.
Depends on the sound they are going for
He’s not responsible for the quality out front live.
I don’t know any live engineer that likes no head.
For metal its usually a loose sound, doesn’t matter as much, its over-colored anyway.. For jazz, country, rock it matters. Bonzo did use heads on kick, they were probably just loose.
Studio is different, I’m live. What live engineers hate most is a kick head with no port.
Not at all saying his setup is wrong at all. No such thing as wrong, nor right. Just another idea he may want to experiment with.

I think it's nifty! Thanks for posting a link to it. :aok
