I have been using my quest 2 over a year with the usb cable link. The oculus app did a software update a few days ago and now the head set cannot find the pc with the cable, but does work with air link (wifi) although as always substandard and buggy compared to the cable. It does show charging when connected to the pc. Anyone else had this issue? Tried different cables and usb ports, reinstalled the oculus software, removed and reconnected the headset in the app and still does not work with the cable.

I’ve had the same issue. I’m going to assume it’s a bad update from Meta but who knows when they’ll get around to fixing it :bhead

Interesting. I ran into the same issue Friday night, hadn't played in a couple weeks, no connection on the cable at all. Allegedly this is the issue and fix:

I'll likely take a crack at that this evening.

Turning the ptc on in oculus app settings worked. New app update fixed the problem.

Apparently that solution no longer works. I tried it this morning and I'm still down.

Meta is working to fix the issue but I was able to get the link working by enabling developer mode from the Oculus mobile app.

Developer mode worked for me too.
