Curious of the VR implementation as it really didn't exist when I was flying AH a lot.. I use a Varjo Aero (normally in OpenXR in IL-2 / DCS), but can use SteamVR if necessary.

SteamVR here

AH doesn't support OpenXR. Wish it did! Could use the OpenXR Toolkit to tweak things on the fly. Could use XR Neck Safer for better TIR-like views in VR. I actually spent some time with the dev of OpenComposite (which makes compatible SteamVR games work in OpenXR) one day trying to get it to work but he said AH is just a no go. Too ancient I guess. But, fron what I understand from that convo OpenXR is the basis for all things VR so it shouldn't be impossible. But that's a game dev (HT) thing. Don't see that happening. So AH is a SteamVR or WMR for SteamVR game if you have a WMR headset like the G2.

Thx, I agree OpenXR is superior and offers better options. Curious why you don't use VRNeckSafer, which is made to work with SteamVR?

I do but the XR version is way better. Adds smooth translation (rather than stepped) and pitch too. Yet another reason for OpenXR!

Right, been using OpenXR / XRNecksafer in IL-2 and DCS so long I forgot it has more/better features..
