Title: Logitech Saitek X56 HOTAS Key Mapping
Post by: Wail on November 13, 2023, 07:45:18 AM
Its been years since I have played Aces High. Just purchased a new PC and the Logitech Saitek X56 HOTAS Joystick and throttle. Do any of you guys have this set up? If so, can you send me the key mapping you use and possibly the file that I can just insert to help an ole fart, get off the runway one again. I got an old squad member, Nefari looking for me as well. Thanks for your help in advance.

OK Fellas, please bare with me. Jimmy D3 sent me his key mapping files for the stick and throttle. I downloaded them to my desktop. Can someone tell me how to put them on, in the game? Like the steps to put the files to the stick and throttle. I should know this, but it has been like 2009 since I have played AH. Thanks in advance

Grab them from the desktop and navigate to C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\settings and drop them in the settings folder. When you release them it may ask you if you want to replace the old files, click yes and you should be done.

Start the game and check, but it should have all your stick/pedals and such mapped to match Jimmies

Thank you "The Fugitive" for instruction. So I got the files from Jimmy3D on my desktop. They are a .jsm file. I right click and my options are "Open with","Add to favorites", Compress to Zip file", "Copy as path", "Properties", "One drive", "Show me more options". So in show me more options, there is a copy choice. I copy and go to my C drive, Aces High 3, settings folder, but when I open the settings file and try to paste, I cant, because it highlights one of the settings to where I cant just drop it in the folder. I have been using a Mac for years and now back to Windows 11 and I am totally lost. Can you guys help me navigate to get this done? Maybe I need to read Windows 11 for dummy's. Thanks in advance for your help.

Wail, you should be able to just drag them into the settings folder.  :rock

I have always had a nose-bounce issue when I pull the trigger. I just bought a new X56 also.  Hopefully it helps.  Kenai, do you have any nose bounce?

Hlywod, I'm a lousy Fighter pilot, but I'll run a test and get back to you.
