Looks like from that post that they were saying the Germans were stupid. I have to disagree with that. Much of the technology they developed was the basis of many of the weapons today.

Take Wernher von Braun/NASA for example.

Even under dire conditions due to constant bombardment the Germans were able to develop and used many of these.

First Ballistic missile: V2
First Cruise missile:  V1
First precision guided bomb: Hs-293
First anti ship missile: Fritz X
First guided air to air missile: Ruhrstahl Ru 344 X-4
First jet fighter: Me-262
First flying wing bomber:Horten Ho 229 (notice how similar the B-2 and B-21 raider look?)

I'm sure there's more but those were just off the top of my head.

Those stupid Germans.

Yikes. Many of these are incorrect in some way.

Imagine a world where innovation is considered a bad thing.

No doubt, a country the size of the state of Texas trying to fight the whole world.

Don't forget the brilliance of starting two world wars.

First World War was not started by Germany, even official truth claims so. 28 June 1914 a Bosnian Serb named Gavrilo Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne.

Austria-Hungary held Serbia responsible, and declared war on 28 July. Russia came to Serbia's defense, and that caused Germany to support Austria. By 4 August, France, and Britain had joined the war on Serbian side and the Ottoman Empire joining Austrian side in November of that same year.

I'm surprised France didn't surrender by Aug 5.  ;)

Just kidding.  In WWI, the French were savages.  That war just castrated them.

I just enjoyed how they parodied some of the absurdities of all of them.

It was not intended as an in depth commentary of the innovations.

Some of you need to relax a bit in this forum!

Relaxation leads to laziness and demise, this is serious business.

Smiling means you are either insane or support wrong team.

Happiness leads to stagnation, as innovations stop.

Wellbeing is clear sing of devil in your brain...

Axis certainly had science and imagination to build some pretty kewl stuff but that can’t win a war.

Allies super weapon was industrial capacity, GDP and unlimited supply of fuel.

I read once that French WW2 rifles were in the best shape of any rifle you could get as a collector.

Never fired and only dropped once...

I own a scoped K43 infantry rifle, it’s shoots like crap but worth thousands more than what I paid for it 40 years ago.

If you will notice, I was responding to him saying "starting two world wars." They did not start the first war even though Article 231 of the treaty said they did. That is what I was referring to, not anything about the second war.

No doubt, a country the size of the state of Texas trying to fight the whole world.

Little doubt that there were Germans that did not want war but when a significant percentage of a population ties its future to a pathological narcissist bent on retribution... well, enough said.

And history could be repeating itself on the other side of the Atlantic come November.

Some of us can hope but no one will permit that from happening...the Indian fellow will never win for the same reason..he's not part of the uniparty club either..

Germany is quite a bit smaller than Texas.

Is it worth pointing out that a derivative of the german V-2 rocket is being used by Russia in the Ukraine war (North Korean made scuds).

Considering all rocket and missile technology started with the V2, that goes without saying

True. Goring was hated by the Luftwaffe pilots. They referred to him as: "the fat one"
