I log in and my ping number varies between 40 and 50 at a fairly constant rate. Good? Good enough? Or bad? I don't want to be Warpy McWarperstine or anybody like that. Please advise, I gotta scenario coming up.
Thanks

As longe as the line is flat, you are fine. Ping 40 to 50 is great. I flew my whole AH career with 140 to 170. :old:

Thanks, Lusche. I couldn't remember what was good or bad.

Steady is what your looking for. You can have pings in the 200's and you'll be fine as long as it is steady.

Not quite. Steadiness applies to warpies, not the inherent latency that makes things seem where they aren't. A 200ms connection, regardless of how stable will have a measurable and visual impact, especially if the 40ms person is expecting another 50-60ms person - that 150ms difference can make a difference.

Well, my dad owned an orange '69 Judge when I was a tyke so there's my connection.
Actually, connect is steady eddy at 45-55ms. I drove around the country and cleaned the nodes myself.
