Title: AH3 - real sky texture - nice!

Yesterday I was flying online and it was a short night time and I looked up and immediately recognized Orion and Pleiades  :x . It was cool.
Nice touch!  :aok

(Astronomy is my another hobby for about 3 years)

IIRC you can go into settings and adjust the date / time to any day and the sky will represent the actual ‘star field’ of that day / time.

Moon phase is accurate also it seems

Even with dated graphics AH can look very cool sometimes

I haven't been around for 20 years but while consuming Youtube vids from pilots over here I noticed how nice the graphics are with stuff turned up compared to how it looks on my old Model T rig. I went ahead and bought a fancy new rig with all the gizmos so I have everything turned up to 11 and it looks great for its age. Compared to some of the fancier titles out there it's a bit aged but what's here is pretty new to my eyes. It definitely makes it more fun to fly.

Has the same effect on me after 14yrs. I left under AH II, so my return to AH III was a new game for me. An FX update would put it up with the rest. Updated 3D engine would guvr the others a run for their money. It’s a little aged. But unlike AW, it doesn’t need a complete re-write. I’m good with it.

Last time I gazed at the stars like that was after the ex hit me with a frying pan....hence the name :bolt:
