Title: Taking time to thank Fugitive
Post by: Animl-AW on March 02, 2024, 01:52:19 PM
He took time out of days to help me fix my stick and techniques get me killing again.

That is very honorable.

I used to be that guy, now I’m the needy, and he volunteered to help. That is a class act.
I’m very thankful for his taking me under his wing.

AH has the best devotion of people

I’ve been through too much to retain what I once knew.  So thanks Fugitive fir filling my void.

Agreed Animal!

Fugi volunteered to lend me a hand and reviewed a film I sent him.  He offered me very helpful suggestions in terms of stick tweaking, gunsite adjustments and more.

<S> Joe. You are and always have been a fine asset to this community!  :rock :salute

Dude!, I went for days or even weeks without a kill. I get one almost every sortie now. I don't know how it can't work for me. I hope you don't go anywhere. I'll find you and bring you right back here as captive. :)

BTW, this goes for anyone. I have spent a ton of time trying to figure out why I cant hit the side of a barn, and why I have such a hard time downing planes, other than my own  :). I've come up with a good eye at picking out how players, myself included mess up a fight, shot so poorly, or those instances where I get some film from one of our local aces how to win a fight.

I think I explain how to aim and give you some tools  in a simple to understand way. I read websites about sites, lead, ballistics and so on and I got was a headache.

Now putting that knowledge into action, will thats up to you. I have a hard time doing it even though I know what I WANT to do. But for me as I start getting these things together and the kills start coming, so does more fun. Its worth the effort. If I can help anyone get that little bit more fun out of the game GREAT!

We're good for wings and beers next Friday in the officers lounge at the Combat Theatre right?

Fugitive has always been a tremendous asset for Aces High

There are a bunch of guys that have made this game much better with their interactions with it...from tech help to MNM, KOTH and the scenarios to name a few

Fugi I'm not finding the sig link to your cartoons...or is that somewhere else?

For those of you newcomers (less than 10 years...lol) TheFugitive used to regularly pen cartoons on a regular basis...harpooning which ever bear needed a stick poking at the time. He always nailed the subject matter and his artistic skillset was spot on.

Are they still available for viewing somewhere?

Thanks Max. I had a blast making those. I have the link added back to my signature, but you can get to "Fugi's Cartoons!" here (http://66.189.11.8:8080/maddog_comics/cartoon_page1.htm). The pages still have some of my old "flash" things there too.... which of course no longer works seeing they did away with flash. I'll have to update the pages.

Thanks again for asking about them.

Man, it was great looking through those!

Man, it was great looking through those!

Thanks, I fixed the two that were broken, and removed the "Flash" stuff.

If the inspiration strikes again, maybe I'll add a few more. I always liked doing the "player" ones. The joke/digs type were fun too, but in todays "butt hurt" society it might be out of bounds to do those again.

I say go for it!  There's plenty of material on these boards lately  :rofl.  It was great seeing some of those old names and topics.  Awesome work!
