I've read on some other forums that the P47N was armed with the Browning M3's which sported an improved rate of fire over the M2, around 800rpm to about 1200rpm. Is it true that P47's in WWII would have been equipped? How come it was never an option in this game? I notice the Tempest uses the MkV hispanos which have an increased rate of fire over the MkII

The M3 was in use in the Korean war. It may be that it was developed and tested during WW2 but saw regular service after the war. Bodie's book on the P-47 only mentions the M2 for the P-47N.
