Back in the day when i played this, there were multicrew b17 runs, territory swapping hands etc, is it like that these days or more dog fights?+

The numbers are a bit lower, but all the activity is still here. Buffs groups now may only have a couple of players but we still have them. Base captures and strat runs are still here as well as fighters duking it out.
Come on in, the waters fine! <S>

We have tons more custom skins now. Up to 64 different skins per aircraft. And there are around 20 different terrains in the rotation, some real world - like maps of the entire European Theater and Black Sea regions.
The Dickweed Heavy Bomber Group is still active and terrorizing the skies with large, high altitude heavy bomber missions weekly. Still plenty of dogfights at U.S. prime time as well.

I would say the players left lean more towards land grabbing than dogfighting.

Keep in mind these are summer numbers of 105-120
Last winter the MA numbers hit 160-200

Could be true, but its always been for decades, ya may not have noticed during higher numbers. This can be good because its what incites dogfighting to protect a base.

There are a fair amount of guys, now a lot older - myself included - that have been maintaining the bomber element and trying to add to it. While I'm not much of a fighter guy at all, bomber squads/groups, and spur-of-the-moment missions were and still are my favorite things to promote because it's been a proven magnet for a good fight. Whether it aided in grabbing a base or not, it was still tons of fun, and two hours or so passes by like nothing. It takes a lot of patience to generate that kind of action, but it does happen.

I was worried about the lower numbers but I jumped back in a couple weeks ago and it's still lots of fun. :aok
