Nashville, TN – 7/2/24 – Nashville-based indie band “The Jetglows” to release new single ‘I’m Fine’ July 5th, 2024.
Upcoming single ‘I’m Fine” is the tenth single to be released by Nashville Indie-Pop/Rock band, The Jetglows, since their December 1, 2023 debut single ‘Pictures of You‘ .
The Jetglows are a Nashville-based indie band that formed in the middle of 2023 and quickly got to work producing radio-friendly, alternative and pop/rock songs.
“We originally met each other growing up Phoenix, Arizona ” says singer/guitarist Gina Partin. “We formed a band, wrote and released some songs, played a few gigs and then kind of all went our separate ways. Todd was off to college, Travis went to go be some famous, hot-shot drummer, Tim went down to Georgia looking for a soul to steal, and I ended up back in my native California to cool off after Phoenix was done baking me. We kept in touch over the years, but recently the stars all aligned and we found ourselves making music together again – and having a great time doing it!
“I’m Fine will be our tenth single. It’s a song that I brought to the band in it’s basic form – originally recorded as a demo on acoustic guitar with a vocal and Travis’ drums a couple years ago. It sat around until we formed a band and decided to work on it as a band. It’s an upbeat, happy love song about staying in bed all day and hanging out with the one you love.
“Travis took charge of mixing the song and producing it. Todd added electric guitars, 12 string acoustic, and a baritone guitar for the lead. Tim did his bass thing and also added a walkup section toward the end, which Travis ended up using as a repeating hook. The song really came to life and gained a lot of energy. We’re pretty happy with how it turned out”

This is NOT directed at you GG. It just came up in my YT feed (WTF?). I thought it was interesting...
Couldn't agree more. Not to disrespect gg but there is a distinct lack of soul (talent) in most of any modern music which can be summed up by Taylor Swift being on the most listened to "artists" in the world. There is a reason why rap (which is essentially just mumbling these days) is so widely listened to when the alternative is, well this kind of poppy bumble gum music that comes across as attempting to be as average as possible.
Turn on a rock radio station and this is what you hear:
Rock and roll has been going down hill ever since buddy holly died :) Hard rock and punk turned into hair metal and the twisted sister and poisons of the world ruined that. Grunge came about to get away from the same repeating sound of hair metal and crappy average drum loops. Then we had Nickleback over commercialized that sound as well, takes all the talent out of it when all you needed to get a hit on the radio was some distorted post processed garbage solid state guitar. The the "counter" to the overblown distorted sameness of grunge was turning every vowel in the letter "A" and using an acoustic guitar :P
I have faith one day artists will again stop making music to be palatable and average, but is unlikely as we have strayed so far away from what made go music no one knows what it sounds like anymore to be unique.

I enjoyed "I'm Fine" quite a bit. A nice hint of Christine McVie, to me, in that voice.
I'm embarrassed to say I rarely listen to music anymore with the rise of audiobooks and podcasts. I should expand upon my collection of 'Stones, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Skynyrd and oddly, Lenny Kravitz and start listening more. It's good for the soul.

I'm sure that "wasn't meant as an insult" as well? Again, what are your credentials for offering unsolicited "constructive criticism"? Do you have any music that you have produced as an example?
