I see them pop up on youtube, X, and other forums. Any here? If there are let the arguments begin. Keep them civil.
I once flew a gassed up B-17 off the map in AW because of falling asleep. I woke up an hour or two later and saw some strange stuff out there. It turns out it was a new episode of NYPD Blues and instead of Jimmy Smits, it was Ricky Schroder on the Sony Trinitron across the room! That was a strange night back in 1998. I abruptly crashed my B-17 and changed the channel. The earth was flat that day.

As someone whose taken a college level Weather and Climate w/ lab course and made an A. I can confirm that the world makes far more sense being round than it would being flat. I think it was my favorite class actually, next to philosophy and then all that stupid business stuff ;)
I would say that it makes far more sense that the world is round, than it does to say there isn't anything special about Crop Circles.

People in the US go to school from a young age and are taught the world is a globe. We all believe. One morning some of us get outta bed and decide maybe the Earth isn't a globe? Perhaps they've never really given it much thought. Maybe their schooling never encouraged the critical thinking necessary to determine for themselves?

I don't think a single Flat-Earther outside of a state institution really in their hearts believes it. Not one bit. Not a particle.
They just enjoy being Edge-Lords and getting reactions.

In my day, they were just dudes doing brodies in their crap-box Chevy Tahoe out in a farmers field. The alien thing was a quick excuse for the circles left in a guy's field. It didn't explain the beer cans and other detritus left behind so I don't know how it caught on. Now if someone could explain cattle and wild horses dyed pink around where I grew up.......

Or, they never had a globe, only a Mercator Projection map on their wall. Subsequently, they believe Greenland is larger than the continental U.S.

It would be funny if there were no grand design to communicate through symbology.
Maybe it is just alien adolescents out joy-riding.
It turns out their xenobiology lets them get high off cow farts like cats get high off catnip. When the adult aliens aren't watching they sneak down to the rural surface spot at night and snatch some cattle. Hover around in the dark and stick their tenacles up the cows kazoo and snort.
Eventually, as youngsters will do, one will say, "Hey...ggigle, watch this..." and zooms down over a fields and stamps out a circle in the middle of a field to freak out the surface monkeys. Like trenching a yard.
They crack up a while and another says, "Hold my cow..." and drops down and stamps out a more complicated one. "Let them grok on that a while. Lolz!"
That's how it starts. Sure all in good fun.
Kids.

They are actually quite elaborate and still happen quite often. I'm still waiting on the "crop hunters" show where they catch these drunkards making these in one night. Which would take some athletic ability given they couldn't use loud equipment with their precision. Then you have stone hedge near by which is also quite mysterious. I'm sure Trips writes that's off too as just another human feat we still can't figure out how they would have done it today.... but yes, the cattle mutilations are also puzzling and are in the interesting phenomenon books.

Yeah there have been videos of people showing how they do it kicking around for decades.
Including a guy that admitted to hoaxing one of the big ones he "found". Admitting on video.
Note how all those shapes can be drawn with a simple compass on paper.
In the field you use ropes and pivot stakes.
Occam's razor. You have the technology to travel billions of miles through space, but all you can come up with for communication with a new civilization is stomping around in their food crops?
Not a radio signal?
If you're TRYING to communicate, why at night in isolated settings? Why not hover over the field in the middle of the Super Bowl and burn your symbology onto the grass on to the field on national TV?

I find it harder to believe that a couple of drunks, would drive to a farm in the middle of no where, walk thru the field 200 yards and then use ropes and boards in the dead of night for 5 hours, that takes a lot of physical ability and you cant be drinking beers. Then make a perfect 500+ yard design that is mathematically geometric in shape and perfectly cut at night with no sounds and no one seeing you. For no recognition at all, for no contest at all. It seems rather a waste of time to continue making them, but alas, they are still made.
Stonehenge may be a connection to crop circles since they are in the general area of Stonehenge is what I meant. Which is also an unanswered phenomenon.

Why do you assume they are always drunk?
You don't have to be perfectly silent at night out in the middle of a field. A lot of those farmers actually live in a nearby town. The ones that don't probably go to bed pretty early.
So wouldn't the White House lawn be a better medium to draw on?

And bears often walk on two legs surprisingly well I think to catch a whiff better as air travels farther up out of the ground turbulence.

Why only mostly in that area of the earth to begin with?
Remember that if you told someone just 3k years ago we would be able to fly off of planet earth and then scale the moon and fly from New York to London in just 5-6 hours, they'd call you all the names. So why does flying "light years" seem like such a crazy task for a civilization that may be 100k years or even millions ahead of us?
What if they were scared shirtless to show themselves to our barbaric society? It would be like an old European who just scaled the Atlantic for the first time walking into a crazy Indian tribe.

Animals can be weird (so resisting a joke here...). I know I have bobcats on my land where my cabin is. I've seen their tracks and found rabbit kills remains. In 15 years I've never laid eyes on them. Animals can hide pretty good when they don't want to be seen.

SB 2691/HB 2063, sponsored by Rep. Monty Fritts, R-Kingston, and Sen. The bill claims it is "documented the federal government or other entities acting on the federal government's behalf or at the federal government's request may conduct geoengineering experiments by intentionally dispersing chemicals into the atmosphere, and those activities may occur within the State of Tennessee," according to the bill.

They do. I've seen it.
There was an incident some 30yrs ago in my parts where some idiot Deer hunter shot another idiot Deer hunter. Now, perforated-hunter being the duller of two knives had thrown the Deer (he'd previously shot) over his shoulders to carry it back to the truck. So, it's understandable that someone at a distance might confuse a moving deer with it's head flopped over as "alive". However, how one could miss a human being moving along ~under~ said Deer while wearing a blaze orange vest AND hat, is a little perplexing, without factoring in basic stupidity.... unless they knew each other, there is that.

That is an interesting edge case. Never thought of that. But that would be extremely rare.
I read one article a guy got shot basically in back yard out cutting back tree limbs and such at the edge of his property. He wasn't hunting so wasn't wearing a vest. Probably did expect to get shot in his backyard.

You hear about the two flat earthers out deer hunting and they actually managed to kill one? They're dragging it back to camp and happen along another hunter. The hunter notices they are dragging the deer and the antlers are digging into the ground making it hard to drag. He suggest they drag the deer by the antlers instead. So they do. A while later one says to the other, that guy was right. This is a lot easier. The other one says yeah, but we sure are getting a long ways from camp.

Yeah there have been instances of people getting shot at less than 50 yards range. We can hunt here all year round, but during Feb/March we have the roar (deer mating season) - all the people after trophies come out and they have tendency to shoot at anything that moves. Blaze orange can also be a bit of a problem, as in low light it looks a bit like red deer colouring.
I don't hunt during the roar. Rest of the year is really for meat hunters, we tend to want to see what we are shooting (female/age/condition) and want good shot placement for best meat recovery.

I've got my own land, so don't have to worry too much but I'm still wary. Got my last one with a 6.5 Creedmore, at maybe 25yds. This guy had been snorting at me off and on for a good half hour. I'd given up hope and was looking down at OnX on my phone, looked up and he was standing there looking at me (through brush). Having forgotten I had the scope dialed way way out I had to adjust it as I was aiming. Talk about good shot placement.

Exactly what shot placement are they thinking they are going to get.
How many crippled deer do these smooth-brains leave in their path if they are not unlucky enough to hit a person.
I've only ever seen one injured... wasn't even really crippled, yet. Had an arrow sticking out it's leg. Must've been there awhile as it barely seemed to notice. In fact, I live and hunt in the heart of the supposed worst zone for CWD in the State, and I've only seen one that might have been acting sick. It was a skinny little Doe that had NO fear of me, but then a LOT of people keep feeders for them year around and treat them like Pets. She might have just not been afraid. I kinda think CWD is a bunch of hogwash.

Natural or the Greys shielding the Earth from intergalactic attack from a cloaked Reptilian war vessel?
Granddad claimed he saw ball lightening once. Well, that's what I decided it was. He had no freakin idea.
He was sitting in the den in his recliner watching TV during a heavy lightening storm. I guess lightening hit their grid and blew a bunch of stuff and fried their TV.
Then the room was semi-dark with just some dim light coming in from the window with the the blinds drawn. Something came out of the electrical socket next to the TV. and drifted across the floor passing no more than 10 ft from his recliner about a foot off the ground. A blue ball of light about the size of a baseball. Never made a sound. Didn't flash or pulsate or sizzle. Didn't bounce or wobble. Never deviated. Just drifted in a perfectly straight line across the room and into the opposite wall and went right through it. No mark left on the wall. Just passed through like it wasn't there. He didn't know what it was, just said it was he most beautiful blue light he had ever seen.
This was probably around 1970ish. In San Angelo, TX.
And gramps didn't drink. ;) I'd pay a grand to see something like that first hand.
It didn't leave any circles in the lawn though. ;)
