I feel like it should go away when the clipboard is up? At least I think mine does.

The mouse dot comes up when I have the clipboard up.

It disappears when it is closed

That is the only way I know to get rid of the white mouse dot in vr

ok google is your friend,

it seems when your touch controllers are set down the headset thinks you will need the  golf ball /cursor, it just need to use the d pad on the controller and move it off screen.

adjusting to using VR has made me feel incredibly old   :old:  :ahand

on the plus side I'm getting better at using the keyboard by touch for when i go blind with my eyes burn't out.

I *think* there's a setting you need to turn off somewhere, the only one I found in a cursory look was under View Options. try unchecking "disable all mouse controls" and "start in mouse look".

I had something similar and honestly I don't remember how I got rid of it it was so long ago, but those are the only two things I see that are mouse related.  I know it was something I turned off.

Hope this helps.

Wiley.

it hasn't frozen as such whilst playing,

if you remove it whilst in game it can do weird stuff,

going to try wiley's suggestions next time I login.

I'm satisfied VR is epic, so may just re-gift the quest 3 and try the pimax crystal light which by all accounts is designed more for the PC crowd than dancing around your living room expensive Wii controller.
