Title: Button numbeers on controllers
Post by: Guano on September 28, 2024, 02:13:55 PM
Havee CH Fighter stick and CH pro Throttle.  I printed out, frm CH site, pictures that show the button numbers.  But they do not coorespond to the button numbers in the sim.  The Fighter stick starts with button, but the sim startts with Button  0. Its off by one number. The throttel is complete mystery to me. Nothing on the actual throttle matches the numbers in the sim.  Very frustrating.
Thanks in advance for any help

You can probably just stick to your other posts instead of creating a new one for everyone question. There is also a help and training section of the forum.

To set up buttons, just open the mapper there, click your joystick or throttle up top and then find the item you want to set. Double click it, then press the button on the stick/throttle you want. Then you don't have to worry about button #s. You can also double press the button on your joystick to see if it's already mapped, but make sure your stick is selected up top.  :aok

You will sometimes find that computer addresses start with zero rather than one.  Aces High does this.  The first item is item zero, the next item is item one, etc.  Things like hangars, guns, and town buildings follow this pattern, so the buttons on the controllers follow the same pattern.

So don't go by the numbers.  Follow the procedure that DmonSlyr posted.
