Mute for that? Really?
Said nothing for previous 20min on country or 200. Seriously, if I cancel subscription, it won't be because of numbers. It will be because of self-absorbed self-important mods who care about their power instead of their position (supposedly) promoting the game.

Took a look at roster (not many players, sadly) can only guess who muted me for the additional 120min when I said the mod was an a-hole for such a frivolous previous mute and dared him to mute me again.
Fine. Fine. The squaddie I fly most with is now also less interested in the game for other reasons. If I leave the game this will be the reason and I will be sure to post why.
Moderate your mods HiTech. We're on a downward slope but this makes it worse.
P.S. and to whomever might say the mods are gods etc, well, they needed to be when #s were much greater. But 200 is much more civil than in the olden days. Fewer ppl to corral. And some mods apparently feel the need to make meaning out of their lives by living up to the old days standards?
Anyway. This is where the game is going. Why make it worse.

The main specific rule HT has ever written about the mods that I've seen, if you call them out (ie- if you dare them to mute you, or call them an a-hole) they do. Full stop.
As many times as it's happened, I am completely astounded you haven't caught onto that.

Aaand here we are. The 10min mute was ridiculous. The 120min mute was pride before game on the mod's part.
Oh, well.
Not cancelling because of it, but less interested now.
Squaddie less interested too, we'll see what happens there. Only reason now I still fly, actually. DallasH a great guy, we can always Facebook or something.

I'm going to briefly summarize what Hitech once told me.
Mods cannot defend themselves via chat so they have strict orders FROM HIM to mute ANYONE who talks back to them. Period.

The fact that a player is acting as a mod and not playing mid day doldrums is a bit weird imo with the current off peak #s. Maybe it’s getting cold elsewhere and #s are going up up 🔝

The initial mute was ridiculous. No politics, no bad words, no context, no conversation with the mod. I said something that was well within normal conversational ethics and got the initial mute. And so I pointed that out and invited an additional mute. And got muted.
And here we are.
Guessing it was SkyHawk who is the mod, fwiw. He invited 99capera to kill himself a few days ago and I led the charge to complain about his post. He was silent for a few days but back in action again.

I am gonna interject here. No you said nothing out of line. But the three of us was arguing. And when there are three of us arguing and the mod lets it go all the sudden there is 7 of us arguing. Then there’s 15 of us arguing and getting nasty. The mod gave warnings and most of us heeded the warning.
The mod was stopping the pebble before it became a boulder.

I am gonna interject here. No you said nothing out of line. But the three of us was arguing. And when there are three of us arguing and the mod lets it go all the sudden there is 7 of us arguing. Then there’s 15 of us arguing and getting nasty. The mod gave warnings and most of us heeded the warning.
The mod was stopping the pebble before it became a boulder.

My bottom line is that I DIDN'T say anything out of line, initially. Even in the slightest! MAYbe I could have got a "calm down," but no, instant mute. I strongly suspect it's because SkyHawk is a mod and TOTALLY was out of line when he suggested 99capera "swallow a cartridge'" and I encouraged ppl to complain to HT and many did so. And then he went silent for three days (and was resentful, and retaliated when he had the chance).
My best guess. But I am good at this sort of thing and I bet I'm right. HT certainly knows, if he cares to know, what really happened.

This describes the situation exactly. 3 People were warned. osmium wanted to continue the argument and got muted after the warning. Then after the first mute he said this.
"I hate to say it, but just about done with this game. Fewer #s and mod a-hole (go ahead mute me again)"
And he is some how surprised he got muted for 120 mins?
