Is it possible that the game sounds are directed to your monitor via HDMI or DP? That seems to happen every once in a while.

Check the sound settings both in game and in Windows.

If you use a 1/8” connector for audio, pull it out and Windows will redirect to HDMI. When you put the connector back in you have to go set it back from HDMI to your output.

Right click the little speaker symbol in the lower right corner of your screen, click "open sound settings". These can get changed some time. Be sure they are set to the speakers you use and not to HDMI. Then in game make sure the setting match in the sound setting of the game as they are set in the windows sound settings.

Thank you I have matched them now but still no joy  :headscratch:

You said "in game". Does that mean you have sound elsewhere like youtube?

realtek hd audio manager.

Use it once to set your preferences and you can likely shut it off.

There are no separate audio controls in AH from what I can tell. Make sure your volume is turned up.

I figured someone who actually plays the game should be able to help him. At least I narrowed it down.

No need to repeat the same path. No trophies.

Is your headset working good?
I had an issue where my engine sound was very low looking straight ahead among other weirdness.  If you looked out at  three or nine o’clock it was normal as usual. That turned out to be my headset.
