Title: It was the 80's..it was low budget, it was a little cheesy, and it was awsome...

Man. Watched this one for the first time in like 25 years. It was among maybe 10 movies that formed my young world view.
True brilliance is almost never achieved by team players, regardless of what the "system" wants you to believe. Let that sink in. That movie brought back so many memories.
Besides, Madonna and Linda Fiorentino were soooo HAWT.

Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider. They used that song perfectly in the movie.
Linda Fiorentino......holy smokes.

If you haven't see The Last Seduction I recommend it. Schwing.
And then she just....like disappeared.
[Edit] Random trivia. If you watch you will catch a young Forest Witaker. Also the guy who plays Kuch, is the guy who played the hunk in 16 candles. Quit Hollywood and became a carpenter making custom furniture. Good on him. He probably had a better life that way.

I guess the story archtype has been with us for thousands of years.
Basically the Luke Skywalker story too. Rocky. Cool Hand Luke.
The single combat warrior. The hero's journey. Read more Joseph Campbell.
It maybe just be built into our DNA. Jung. Or maybe I smoked too much tonight. Bedtime. ;)

Going back 10 years earlier we watched Death Race 2000 the other night. I saw it at the theater 50 years ago. I never realized Rocky/Rambo was in it.

LoL. I have never even seen that one. IMDB 6.2 is higher than I expected. I might have to give it a try.
I mean I loved Escape from New York, so I'm not above a little cheese in the right mood. ;)

Evil Dead Red Dawn Return of the Living Dead Heathers Repo Man Buckaroo Banzai Rambo: First Blood Fast Times at Ridgemont High WarGames Conan the Barbarian They Live Re-Animator From Beyond
Bruce Campbell in Evil Dead-one of the greats and still a favorite actor of mine.
Heathers: Great movie, crush on Winona, junior year of college, good days.
Repo Man: My favorite movie on this list. Loved the soundtrack.
Fast Times of course! "Just having some food, learnin' about Cuba."
Conan with Arnold and the unheralded, as an actor, Wilt Chamberlain. Saw it at the theater twice.
I should find all of these on DVD. I only have Fast Times right now. Good list!
