Hello, just starting a post for players who have decided to be nomads. Starting with maybe establishing a VOX channel we can all use when bouncing across countries. I haven't found a squad yet that uses channel 113 in any country(111 may also be available).
If anyone is interested to join in by all means we can have our own VOX to communicate on.
THIS IS NOT A SQUAD OR OBLIGATION. Just an idea to try to enhance communication and make playing a little more enjoyable.

111 is JG11 Squad Channel.

There actually used to be a Squad called "the Nomads." back in Air Warrior and the Early Days of AH.

113 used by 113th Lucky Strikes on Knights :aok

I used to love reading their AOL bulletin board stuff-some funny doods. Primarily C-Land yet nomadic, P-38-centric squad that you could tell were really having a good time. They all had a "+" at the front of their cpid. Levi or +Dead, +Mir, +Icon etc. I was endlessly spanked by them......they beat me up pretty regularly in the game too.
The title of this thread instantly sparked that memory.

Sic Puppies MWK vox 177.
Note, vox channels 200 to 299 are cross country channels, iirc.

Just saw this. +mir and myself (+Tiff) started the Nomads during those AOL AW days when you could have more than one account. We gathered sticks from all countries and flew Thursday night squad nite with all the plus guys. We alway flew on the low numbers side and while we flew 38s primarily, we also flew for the hell if it flights. Jeep races, Yak attacks etc. one of my favorites was when we swamped a base with Goonies and troopers. Took it without a shot 🙂. Ahh what good memories🙂

Absolutely remember one of those nights flying as a B and seeing hundreds of parachutes and trying to shoot them. It was during the "all-you-can-eat" days on AOL. Fun times and I'm glad I was part of the game when you guys were in the arenas. Endless hours of fun.
I think the AOL days were peak for AW. The combo of the bulletin board ran by Homer and the limitless play on AOL was fantastic.

AOL was Air Warriors peak, I agree. I was MDJOE back then and flew with the 444th Air Mafia with JBKID, LPN, Tabasco and many others. I bet I still have the roster with most of there home numbers laying around someplace. Great times back then. Lots of fights and everyone just out for a good time.

AOL was what brought me to the game as well. Don't remember much other than how fun it was. The numbers and players are different, yet the same and still just as fun
