I kind of refer to this now and then when explaining latency.

This is the thread that alludes to a film (spit v spit) being out there but only includes some screenshots of the film (by Bronk) that indicate respective film perspectives of his collision with Tangle.

In the same thread, Lusche alluded to posting some pictures (pony v jug collision) but I can't find them.

I did find the thread where Bronk posted both collision films, but the files were hosted external instead of being posted to the films forum.

Ive been looking for that video for a long time. I had linked to it in this thread

but where ever it was hosted is no longer available. I think Lusche put it together as he was the one I remember posting it a lot.

Found the post with the superimposed films - still hosted external, but still available.  I d/l and viewed it. I also re-posted it in the films forum after converting the original .wmv to .mp4

Always thought the one with the better connection lost things like collisions and hoing when everything else was equal...

Can we ask why the interest in this particular piece of the pie?

You digged up some pretty ancient stuff here - I think I even lost the original files  :)

But the quality is horrible for today's standards. Maybe someone could make a new one, maybe even some narration and explanation. But you would need two non-US pilots for that to make the combined lag big enough.

I kind of wonder how the "smoothing" coad works, now...  if it's an aggregate sampling that averages out connections, this may explain why I'm seeing more outlier connections than I used to - smaller sampling sizes (less than 100 compared to 100's online in the past.)

It's really noticeable if I play wee morning (cst) hours against some pacific players, less so in evenings when more US players are on, it seems.

I dunno.
