That's great! Did you notice if any were new players?
-
We have had 2 former players come back and join our squad. :aok

Yes, I notice new/return players every single night, just in the 3 min time window I check.
I can only go by score sheet using various details
Last night in that 3 min window there were 3 new names almost no score, and 2 return players.
Edit: BoB scenario will probably be along the lines of MotA vid. So I hope some players role films and donate to the cause
I see similar numbers almost any time I look. It’s almost always 3-5.

As soon as my first PR video hits 2k, which should happen next two days, I’m releasing a new 3 min “Open Melee Arena” vid.
Currently between 3 vids I have about 4,500 views, 404 subscribers.

I was looking at some stuff on steam and found this:
https://steamcharts.com/app/651090
Month Avg. Players Gain % Gain Peak Players
Last 30 Days 4.3 -0.1 -2.32% 11
This number is obviously not accurate but I doubt may people know that:
Is there a way to have the steam numbers reflect the actual numbers in the game without everyone having to reinstall the game on steam?

Unfortunatley no. Steam is only going to help steam. Your not going to get them to mention there is another portal to the game because they might lose money because player might use the other portal.
The whole "steam" effort was a fiasco. They should have held off until they had VR finished and reworded the "free to play" line. They should have asked for volunteers to hang out in the arenas for the mass influx of players they got to help them get started. I dont think anyone was expecting much of the steam launch and they were taken by surprise by how many did roll in.

That would be an HT question. But me thinks Steam only keep track of its own users.
One idea would be to post a realtime counter on HTC page and then share the link to it. If course the easiest is just leave the game installed.
IMO, Steam is as a short-lived false positive.
I do not believe their numbers reflect the current status. Many migrated from steam to the standalone. And most there are leap frog gamers. I don’t think much would change for the positive trying to attract Steam gamers. In the end they made AH look worse than it was.
Others may have a different take. Thats just me, with no data.

EDITED: I think timing and numbers played a role in deciding Steam.

From what I understand, HT had no choice but to word it in that manner, because technically speaking the game is F2P. I believe he had to list it that way.

If that was what happened, thats too bad. I saw a lot of animosity because it was said to be "Free To Play". Most people take that as the game is free to play.....forever. Even if HTC had to list it that way I would think they could have added ".... for the first two weeks" just to be very transparent. From what Ive read it was one of the things that put a lot of people off about the game.
