This isn't anything new, OK. So, is it a "cut in stone" thing for now?
This is too bad. I spent hundreds of hours with some of the best sticks who only flew fighters.

I've made atleast 3-4 posts in the last few years asking for simple adjustments to bring back certain aspects of the old DA. Unfortunately no changes. Fighting the AI is great practice, but there needs to be a free fight area too in the canyons. It's really too bad it can't be modified a bit..

I used to run a player type arena that was setup for dueling but it was so hit or miss that I stopped running. I don't think enough clicked on the players tab to see it so you had to announce it in the MA to get any numbers but since I don't have a sub anymore it's not possible. I would guess that is your best bet if you wanted to host one. I'm pretty sure the old DA map is still there or there's a map called myterr that has 1 base for each country and a hill in the middle instead of a lake that would work too.

Isn't the dueling arena now the h2h room?

Make it 4x fuel burn to add another layer.

Furball Lake was always a great alternative for the fighter jocks. Bring it back as a minimal P2P option. :old:

The drones in the matchplay arena often offer a better fight than what you can find the MA.
While the dueling arena might not be the same as the old days being able to pick your fighting area and opponent, most of the time there is nobody else in the que, and at least your opponent is predictable.
Have had a lot of fun in the 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4 options a few years back.
It would be cool if somehow the two versions of the DA could be combined to get the best of both worlds.
But let's be honest.. the majority of whats left here isn't looking for a fight. They are looking to bomb sheds and hide in trees, the least resistance the better.
At the end of the day you can still duel in there, it just appears nobody ever does.
