So fudgums and I a playing with a progressive battle setup. it will be a capture the flag type setup of 1-1.5 hours. in this time you will either have to capture or defend a base.
the question I have is would you rather do it one Wednesday nights or Sunday nights? it would be around 8pm EST but we can be a little flexible with that depending on the demand? thanks in advance

8 pm edt, is 5 pm pdt. That makes it extremely difficult for those of us on the left that work to make the event on a weeknight.

I think like 4-6pm est on the weekends would be good timing. That way all timezones can make it without work interference. Sounds like a fun skrimish with 15-20 guys or so. :aok

Just a thought
When we plan concerts on which day in a venue, many times we would put the biggest shows on days that drew less crowds to boost those days attendance.
This is a different world, but a thought to ponder.

Looks like its going to be on sundays. this should allow everyone that wants to participate in at a reasonable hour. im not going to do it every Sunday because summer time is coming and people want to do things. that includes me! but we'll put something together and see how it works out.
it will be a capture the flag type event and i will try to make it as even and fair as possible. it will also be side oriented. once you pick a side, you'll have to stay with that side until the base is captured or lost, then we'll allow side changes.
please let me know if you have any other suggestions. i will post as soon as we firm things up. i "might" even call it sunday European campaign, not for the europeans but for the battle area!

Are sides supposed to be even/balanced in this kind of a set up?

i would hope so. thats what im trying for. but we could face some challenges. wont really know til we try.

Sunday night prime time is usually good MA numbers. Please don’t mess with that we only have a few good full nights left.
Wednesday and Thursday nights would be best.

Thursday Nights already have that Filled for TnT aka Thursday Night Tank fights plus that night wasn’t an option according to the thread

IMO, at a glance, I think its a fine line between catching players when they are most likely playing and impacting the MA at primetime. Hard call.
I would favor Sunday at 4pm ET, more so during winter., and over by MA primetime.
But summer daylight hours may affect that outcome.
Another fleeting thought, Wed evening during summer, Sun early evening during winter.
Just bored and throwing ideas around.

Just throwing out that a set piece, offense vs defense, generally favors the defenders all things being equal.

well it depends on which side has better players or more determined ones. defensive doesnt give anyone an advantage more then they dont have to go as far. there will be aircraft and GV's so we'll see how it works out.
