It's with profound sadness that I've recently learned that NoBaddy (NB) dances with the angels.
Carlton designed the original Trinity Map. His participation in WW2 online flight sims dates back to the early days of Air Warrior that offered pre-historic graphics + connectivity bills that split apart many married couples. :devil
NB was one of the original members of The Damned, and in true squad spirit, was always available to lend outreach and support to new players.
NB was a driving force in terms of organizing and producing the Aces High Conventions that took place in Grapevine...circa 2002 - 2008. He always provided multiple tubs of Blue Belle Ice Cream to the attendees, as he was a district sales mgr.
Rest in peace my friend...you left this place way too soon.

I am beyond sad at hearing this. NB and Subby were the first to take me under their wings when I first started AirWarrior. I learned so much from them and especially Carlton. I talked to him on the phone many times. He didnt have to devote so much effort in helping a 16 year old kid, but he did. I was fortunate enough to meet him at a few AW cons. A true gentleman.
RIP my friend!! :salute :salute :salute :salute

Great guy who helped me a lot back then. He helped a ton of new guys in fact. I first knew him as "Fidel" or Infidel in the half-time arenas. He was always friendly and even helped me get "codded" into the Damned along with Ptero after I'd tag along with them headed to furballs and whatnot. Had the pleasure of meeting him at the Con in 98 as well and it was a pleasure.
Rest In Peace, NB. <Salute>

The first time I met Carlton He was using the CPID Infedel (Fidel) On AOLS Air Warrior when he was a trainer back around 1996. He was a holdover from the GEnie days.
I met Carlton in person for the first time at AWCON98.
When I joined the Damned Carlton was one of the squad members that welcomed me into the squad. He even tried to teach the 47 to me a few times.
Carlton was good stick, great guy, and an awesome friend to his fellow players and squadmates. He will be missed.

This is heart breaking. He was such a good guy and always fun to be around. I first met Carlton (NoBaddy) at the October 1990 AirWarrior con in Houston. We hung out togather on the flightline at the huge airshow at Ellington. We bought the same bright red Confederate AIr Force hats. The term "nice hat" became an in joke for our meetings for the following years. He came to Indy in August 91 and togather we went to the USAFM and got access to their files. We pulled out several flight test results for various aircraft and forwarded it all to Kesmai, allowing them to better model aircraft and add new aircraft. I saw him at various cons over the years and stayed in touch online as well as rhe ocasional phone call. Sad to say it had been quite some time since we last talked. He was such a great guy and his death is just horrible news. Enjoy the lag free connections Ole buddy! "Nice Hat!"

Sad situation that draws old names together in one place again.
Most of which I looked up to in my sim journey and helped pave our way. We may not be here otherwise. Some of ya made history in sims happen. So, before our days cone <S> to all who made our world rock.
A reunion scenario might be cool.
Lets not let passings be our only reasons to touch base.
NB is/was cream of the crop. He leaves a hole in our hearts.

Doctor Gonzo has an old PDF file of old Air Warrior players going back to the DOS GEnie days.
Carlton "NoBaddy" (NB) Trimble's Tail number (Old CPID before names) was 3397 and 5553.

I met NB way back in Air Warrior days. AW and AH conventions and Blue Belle ice cream. I thought about him about 2 weeks ago and then I see the sad news here. I remember an incident in the game. I was in a B-17 formation about 5k at an enemy base and looked down to see NB tangling with 4 enemy on the deck. I said "You look busy NB, need a hand?". He answered "Yes, where are you?". I replied "Above you, on the way". I killed 2 of the 4 engines, cut throttle and descended into the fray. We were able to kill the enemy and limp home.
Rest easy my friend. :salute
