Title: Think I'm gonna take a break from the forums for a bit after this weekend.

I just happened to check my profile and I see that even though I put Shame on ignore and have stopped responding to his attacks that it appears that he still can't get off my ankle. It looks like I got another warning last week. It appears that he is still working on getting my account banned with warnings or whatever since their personal personal attacks don't bother me. My guess is that he's working with his buddies Spike and Animl to run me off.
I guess I don't understand some of the people here. It seems their intent is to drive anybody away who doesn't embrace their dogma. So be it.
You guys that have my number and email can get a hold of me without problem and if you don't have those and want to contact me send me a PM and I'll log on and respond. (If those guys aren't able to get my account banned or whatever they are trying to do)

I don't care if you post appropriately, but when you post disgruntled trolling (like this post) I'll call it out, directly.
Here's the crucial factoid you're missing thru that cloud of teary butturt - someone at HTC read the reported post(s) and took appropriate action. Now think about who comprises HTC.
I mean look at you on my ankle with this post... and the amount of cringe whinge is... well... meme-able.

8 yrs to save up to justify a several planes? And that if you already have a machine to pull it. Those aren’t really encouraging numbers, that can work two ways. Considering its slowing to suspended animation as well. Barely finding a fight doesn’t inviting to me. Or. if I kept it to the same invest ment I’d get 2-3 planes to fly, after reading 20-90 pages of a manual for each? Where’s the adrenaline? Ya can swish around the numbers for planes, but hard to put a number in actual excitement. I guess if I wanted to play golf and read manuals then I’m in, I’m don’t.
This game has issues we all know about, same with pretty planes, not much being done, but at least we have fun here with it. Despite only a handful of complainers. And our planes are not dripping of bugs that won’t get fixed.
It’s not a squeak, its just raw facts. The numbers don’t pan. No way DCS is cheaper if you want a decent amount of AC, if you don’t have to update your gear. I don’t understand how people use that argument. Its so easily pummeled. If thats the best defense, its not much of one. I’m going to only fly two planes per yr with barely a fight to justify it? <scratches head> How is that coming out on top?
To each their own. But recruiting from here won’t change that and all the sudden DCS is exciting. Yall barking up the wrong tree, IMO. I think its just poking Dale in the eye.
If that blows your skirt up then you should do that. But stop feeding off people who can’t afford it in the first place. They trying to update just to play this.

Was back sending some PMs and noticed I'm now on a "watch" list and I have a twenty something percent warning for stuff that someone decided I did a while ago that doesn't appear to be going down. I'm guessing I won't be around much longer.
While I'm still here, I've been thinking about setting up a early/mid war player arena on one of my spare computers and I wanted to figure out how to add some ai in it to give people something to do while they're waiting for other victims to show up. I'd like to maker it permanent but as I recall I would always "loose connection to server" if I left it up overnight. Anybody interested in this? Anybody run one for a while before?

Ha! I have people standing on report button when I post. I’ve been on Watch over a year. They troll me, I reply, they stand on report. The one doing it said in General post it was his goal. Now thats abuse. You’ve gotten kid gloves. I have a true sick former player obsession against me.

We used to have some great discussions about such things in the past...ie hanging chads, 9/11, etc
The world has changed and now we cannot..
That was long ago, far away, in another galaxy. It resulted in HTC eliminating the OC for quite some time.
We saw the same thing in the Bigweek news group. Some of the dedicated political warriors were so insulting that the insulted people went away, and the group shrank.
There's a reason why you shouldn't talk politics or religion at Thanksgiving. People take it personally.

I didn't realize the OC was ever closed because of it...that's really sad..
I have been posting noise since 2000 so it was allowed and it seemed to be almost encouraged as it was as humorous as it was serious...

Reason I'm against political discussions, I saw the damage. Couldn't stand politics, I couldn't stand watching people intentionally misinformed even more. Only reason I may jump in. It's a destructive hobby.
It chases players or new players away for sure. It's too toxic. People are looking for good spirited fun. Instant buzz-kill. It's just not tolerable.
The last 5 min of a football game is the most important part.
Trying to change how someone thinks is a nuclear war with little results. Most will learn faster if not pushed. Give people room for error.
I don't condemn anyone who sins differently than me.
