Title: Map guys?
Post by: Randy1 on June 14, 2025, 02:36:35 PM
I am thinking a bit on our maps.  This is especially true after playing in the Thursday night tank fights where it is constant action.

So would it be possible map guys to take a current map and reduced it down to just three bases each country?
One bomber only base per country as well as one fighter only, and one tank base.  One base, each country would have to be uncapturable.

No Strats, no map win. no nighttime.  You could still capture a non-uncapturable base but the closeness would make it difficult to hold on to.

The idea is not mine really comes from the creator of the Thursday night tank fights Captain1ma.

If this was idea was ideal for an MA every Thursday night the MA would be empty. So while the map guys could build maps like that they would never be allowed as a MA map. There are over 100 maps available (select choose terrain when you first start the game) and we use what 12 or so in the MA. Sure some on the list are duplicates, but the majority are scenario maps. Nothin they can use as an MA map.

A large amount of appeal to this game is the open world, do what you want, capture enemy bases playstyle.  It sounds like you are describing a Dueling Arena.

Back when we had more players I would have agreed with you whole heartedly.  Not now though.

The idea is you can capture a base but the great difficulty with proper spawns would be keeping it.

Say 5000 ft bomber bases, 3000 ft fighter bases, and ground level tank bases.
