Title: Battle of Britain (2025)
Post by: Animl-AW on June 25, 2025, 09:45:00 PM
Picked at this since BoB ended. Almost all scenes from Frame 1 & Frame 2
Flag watermarks in lower right corner indicate what country plane and/or radio chatter, since jumping around a bit. Don't know where I came up with the beginning, except maybe the wrong mushrooms on a pizza.
horde made and sent me films so I finished it. Ironically, at 7:15-7:47 is a scene of horbe killing me (Spit 1) after trying to dodge rounds from the first 109e while taking out a couple HE 111s at sea level.
I can eliminate game look only so much, with out spending a lot more time on it. Groups of buff do a lot of warping, so, getting smooth scenes is a bit rough
On large screen you may notice a little gradient banding, also known as color banding, is an undesirable visual artifact that appears as noticeable, distinct bands of color instead of a smooth gradient transition.
Compressing 400GB.AVI format to 1.9GB .MP4 format, the compression is likely to have at least some effect. Then YouTube gets a hold of it and who knows. Not much I can do about that.

Sorry I think first link was low res,.. changed it. You can also select high res in the youtube video frame settings
YT literally destroyed it. No shock there

You might want to get rid of the swastika on the German flag. Yt considers it to be hate speech. Also, Casablanca came out after BoB. Just saying. Enjoyable production.

Did you see something about the flag? I haven’t. Let me know, kind if a quick fix thing
I knew a real historian would pick that out. There is a creative hook. Scenario is 1940. It was made about mid-1941, came out 1992, is actually about 1940 era. You’re right tho.

I was watching another YT vid where the channel creator got a hate speech warning as well as having the video taken down by YT because his video of a scale rc plane had a swastika on the tail. Just a heads up. I don't really know the ins and outs of YT.

the Briefing Room, tho' while having the He-111 silhouette also displayed a FW-190 (on left wall) - just raggin' you about it. :neener:

I get it. I didn’t make it for ads, just a feeble attempt at entertainment. Imagination could say its knowing what you’re shooting. I guess I could have put up diff posters.

Thanks. Its not meant as an ad, but it could be used as one I guess.
I just wanted to step back a bit from the over-serious ad approach. Kinda why I didn’t worry about the accuracy of the beginning.
It could always be better. Its only 14 min of 24 hrs of films.
Without horbe contributions it would not have been made. So big thanks to him.

Quite the compliment, thanks.
I’m never happy with my work, a perfectionist never achieves it, ever.
The beginning is totally hollywood.
It’s not a perfect vid. However, just to make a driveling point,…
No way am I suggesting anything, the thought means zero.
I spent about 150 hrs over months. If I were paid my IATSE union base rate of $57, it would be a $8,550 production payroll. Because I’m “volunteer” where no one is paid, no one could be forced to do so. I would never accept pay. I don’t consider myself that worthy. Its a hobby. The video cam/director and editing guys I used to work with is where the real meat is. They make movies and everything you see on TV. The best. They just verbally taught me how much time a shot should be shown, and why its shown, what is the purpose of the shot. The second it becomes stale switch cam/shots. This did not come natural to me as a sound engineer. Without their input it would be as lame as the first vids. I just hope I got better. Compared to them, in size I’m a flea compared to the size of earth.
Glad some liked it.
Also, don’t forget “horbe” for proving axis pov films. As far as I’m concern, donators are co-creators. He was every where I needed a shot from. <S>
It’s just a unperfected hobby. It’s up to the eyes of the beholders if its good or not. Nothing more.
If it has a psitive effect in numbers, then my benefit is a few more targets.
