Title: Apology to HTC
Post by: mERv on July 09, 2025, 06:45:07 PM
Over the years, I’ve publicly criticized you for not making what I believed were necessary changes to ensure the survival of the game. But the truth is, who am I to say what’s best for your game or your company? I don’t know your personal life, and my perception has no doubt been shaped—and sometimes warped—by my own real-life experiences. Let’s be honest, the ol’ “baaaahhh” up top isn’t always firing on all cylinders.

Dale, I sincerely apologize for my behavior. Regardless of whether I believed my intentions were good, that doesn’t excuse the way I expressed them. I’m just one of many who’ve had the privilege of playing this game.

Thank you for keeping the lights on all these years, and for your continued commitment to keeping this game alive for as long as possible.

:salute

Pretty sure HT realizes how addicted most of us are to his game..

It's still the best multi player platform going for ww2 action and requires the lowest level of hardware of any of them especially for vr which is the best implementation of it/vr than any flight sim going..

Hoping it like Motel 6 where they leave the lights on for us...

Thanks HT!

A small man opens his mouth, a big man is aware of himself.

You are there.

This x1000.  When I'm playing another game where I'm in a cockpit, the fact that I can't do views in VR like I can in here makes me twitch something fierce.

Yeah, there's a bit of Linda Blair style head movement, but it makes up for the lack of peripheral vision we currently have in our headsets.  People may bang on about it not being "realistic" but it sure feels good to me.

I hear ya on this one. I either use VR necksafer or turn my head as far as I can one direction, recenter the view there and then turn my head the direction I want to look. For sure it's awkward compared to here. Not sure why others can't seem to follow the better example of this game :)

I think maybe they spread themselves to thin with other projects that they don’t take time to perfect past implementations. They just seem to keep moving on. Just guessing. Nothing seems perfected. No major updates and tweaking what you have, illuminating most bugs and tighter settings has an advantage of sorts.

This game is very solid.
