Title: Game crashes every time I hit radio T
Post by: DmdFiat on July 15, 2025, 09:26:22 AM
Acer Predator 16:
Win 11
GTX 4070
I9
16GB RAM.

I played for months with no issues. Then this week, every time I press the radio button T (not only from the joystick), the game crashes.
I unplugged the headset and am using the laptop's mic. Same thing.

All drivers are up to date.

Has this happened to anyone?

When I return, sometimes I also get the HTC message "your AI pilot crashed into the ground". What is that??

My favourite recipe for anything that happens all of the sudden after a long flawless period: Perform Windows shutdown by pressing the Shift button while clicking Shut Down. Or click Restart. Both should clean up any garbled settings.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I just tried that and no-go. 1 press of the voice button and, boot!

Did you get a Windows Update before this issue? If so, press the Windows button and R simultaneously and type "rstrui" without quotes. If applicable, you can roll back to a date everything worked.

Conflict of audio drivers?

Have you disabled any you are not using?

AH gives you an AI pilot if you get booted..if you're on auto pilot when that happens you can get logged backed in and  save your sortie..

I had an issue where my screen would freeze but not completely crash every time I hit the range transmit on win11.
What I did may help with your issue or it my do nothing.

For some reason if I opened the windows sound settings and clicked on the microphone tab and left the box open in the background it would not freeze and worked properly. I know it sounds bizarre but it worked for me and might be worth a try.
