Title: Slow game download

I was installing the game on my office computer and it is a very slow .3M download.  I have a 300Mb download speed when tested.

uhh, .3 and 300 mb, is that 0.3 giga bytes? (which is 300 mb) :headscratch:

Exactly!  Not all the terms are defined, hence the screen shot.   I got it downloaded, just wanted to let some one know since most people will not put up with a 2 to 3 hour download if they are just getting started and the slowdown did not seem to be from my end.

Get about the same speed when a new map is downloaded..thank goodness they aren't large files

ooof, I decided to uninstall my steam and website installs since I think they were messing with each other somehow in my attempt to get the dx11 stuffer fixed and now the install file cant communicate with the download site.  Wonder if its related to hitech having out of date https cert.

Looks to be the usual routing issues he has.  I VPN'd to Dallas and its working just fine.

Yeah that's the speed I get for maps and skins - it's taking me about 6 hours to download the first skins package.
