I-16
Who can get the most kills?
-
What I found flying the older 109s last tour is that it takes alot longer to get to a fight where you live much shorter than you do in late war birds...
You have to dismiss the thought of landing imo to enjoy the weaker planes in this game in ma..

I have absolutely no idea what that meant.

Not sure buddy, but it's a darn difficult plane to fight against :salute

True but that is because you, like most players want to have some good alt to start a fight with.
Up at a base under attack. Much shorter flight time, instant fights and you have the added advantage that you might land a few..... if you count falling out of the sky and happen to stop on the runway a landing :devil

Everything depends on the match up and pilot.
Seems to be a pattern of 109 jockies tend to want the game to revolve around the plane they choose and their style of flying.
25 miles is 25 miles, no matter your choice.
Planes will be faster and slower than almost any choice one makes.
Dweebs will be dweebs.
Egos will always diminish everyone else.
BTW, last night a 109 out ran my D9, for many miles, and run they did.
If all 51s and D9s run, how is it they are around to kill me?
A lil off subject, but all plane threads end with poor 109s (with high scores mind you). :) <runs>

Have you ever decided not to make an ego-fluffing post about yourself? Give it a rest, dude.

What are you talking about?
Get the chip off your shoulder. Nothing in that reply is about me,
Actually, don’t explain, I’m sure it makes no sense

Pyros Rolling Plane Set was the most intelligent pursuit this game ever attempted. Unfortunately, and most importantly, intelligence did not prevail.

Dude, you have to dismiss that thought to enjoy ALL the planes in this game!
Landing gets you some compliments from those who are your friends (and sometimes, your enemies!), and maybe some rank or perk points. But really: Who cares?

Was hoping the B5N Japanese Kate would be the plane of Death.
First you have to get enemy behind you, and then pepper them with the mighty 7.7mm mg.

It's the D3A1. It will dive over 500mph without losing parts.
It will smash the I16 because the I16 lacks the energy retention of the brewster.
It's also graced with a bomber icon on dar meaning you will have customers up to intercept you not knowing you are flying it as a fighter.
I wish the mossie had same icon for bomber or fighter.

Try to get 50 kills in a 109e..

109E vs I-16 is a very fun dogfight, not one you get very often though

I had a really good fight against an I-16 while in a 109F-4. I-16 came in with alt and jumped me after I had just danced with another plane. Wound up winning that fight...one of the last good fights I remember having.

I decided to fly both for a sortie yesterday, got 3 kills each! Hard to chase people down though. And not sure why everyone wants to HO an I-16, they are so small and pack 2x20mm that are hard to hit moving targets with...but easy to return HOs with.

And fly time to the fights is sometimes ridiculous..
Did you land those kills?
I didn't find it worth my time as I am limited to an hour at most each evening..

I always land my kills, though next month I might try a fight to the death mentality, the sorties im fighting for my life tend to be the funnest.
-
I don't fly much at all. I usually land my kills in a smoking hole.
