I don't think so without code changes.

Currently all the guns aim at one spot.

in  terms of American football,  AH is wired for man-coverage vs zone-coverage.

If the physics of the game are as close to real as they claim, if should work. However you are probably right, while the physics of the planes maybe correct, I doubt that applies to the individual bullets.

I guess the idea is similar flak barrage boxes rather than trying to snipe a bomber with direct fire.

Like if I am hunting ducks, should I use a shotgun or try and snipe them on the wing with a .22 and a 10x scope?

Makes sense. If you lead a plane perfectly, tracking the movement while firing, all of your rounds will hit. If you lead a few feet ahead or behind, none of your rounds will hit. If you pick a spot ahead of the plane that it will go through and fire a stream at it some of your rounds will hit.
